Chapter 207 - Chapter 207: The Judgmental Serpents

Deep within the temple of Ryūchi Cave, the White Snake Sage abruptly sat upright, her eyes flashing with a hint of alarm.

Ryūchi Cave resided in a separate dimension, entirely under the White Snake Sage's control. Only those granted her permission could step foot in this sacred space.

But just moments ago, someone had used an unknown method to forcibly break through the dimensional barriers and intrude into Ryūchi Cave.

The White Snake Sage's expression turned grim as she muttered to herself, a mix of suspicion and anger in her voice.

"Could it be... that insolent brat from last time? Yes, it must be him! That kid possesses spatial abilities—there's no doubt it's him!"

Her lips curled into a chilling smile.

"If you'd stayed away, I might have let you be. But since you've dared to return, don't blame me for being ruthless. Prepare to become my dinner!"

With a flash, the White Snake Sage transformed into a massive serpent, surging outward with incredible speed. Her Sage Chakra erupted in a torrent, triggering numerous formations throughout Ryūchi Cave.

The air grew heavy with violent spatial fluctuations as the cave itself seemed to tremble.

"This place is now sealed. Let's see how you plan to escape!"

...

At the Cave's Outer Edge

Obito's brow furrowed as the space around him began to ripple and distort. An unsettling sensation crept over him.

"It seems I've lost connection to my spatial markers outside. Did the White Snake Sage tamper with something?"

He shrugged. "No matter. I came here to kill a snake, so let's deal with her first and think about the rest later."

As Obito mulled over his plan, a voice interrupted, loud and brash.

"Hey, boss! Where's this giant snake you mentioned? I don't even see so much as a snake's scale!"

Before Obito could respond, the ground beneath them quaked. Moments later, four colossal white-scaled serpents emerged from the shadows. Leading them was none other than the White Snake Sage herself, flanked by three slightly smaller but equally intimidating serpents.

Obito guessed they were the Serpents—beings known for their cunning but not their intellect.

"Four serpents, and the lead one's bigger than the Two-Tails! A thousand-year-old snake sage!" Hidan's eyes gleamed with excitement as he clasped his hands in mock prayer.

"Praise Jashin! Imagine offering these four souls to my god—he'd love me forever!"

Nearby, Sasori calmly unfurled a scroll, his gaze lingering on the serpents.

"These beasts will make exquisite puppets once I strip their hides and bones," he mused.

Meanwhile, the Serpents whispered among themselves.

"What foolish humans," muttered Tagitsuhime. "They've walked straight into their own deaths!"

Ichikishimahime chuckled darkly. "Not just foolish—they've even brought us extra snacks. How thoughtful."

"So naïve," Tagitsuhime continued. "Do they really think numbers can overpower the White Snake Sage?"

Ichikishimahime hissed, baring her sharp fangs.

"Stop insulting them! They... they might be stronger than they look!"

Her companions ignored her protests, continuing their mocking exchange.

"Look at those two frail ones," Ichikishimahime sneered. "They look so weak that even a snake would lose its appetite."

The White Snake Sage's gaze landed on Obito, her yellow eyes narrowing with fury.

"Insolent brat! This time, you'll pay dearly for your arrogance!"

Obito crossed his arms and laughed mockingly.

"Threatening me? You've chosen the wrong opponent!"

Turning to Madara, he gestured dramatically. "Grandpa Madara, that shameless snake chased me halfway across the cave last time!"

Madara's eyes glinted as he shifted his gaze to the White Snake Sage.

"A mere serpent dares to torment my grandson? Prepare to atone with your life."

The White Snake Sage burst into laughter, her massive body coiling and uncoiling, smashing countless stone pillars in the process.

"As expected of a pair of arrogant fools. You think this frail old man is your trump card? How laughable! If that's your only hope, you can both die together!"

Without hesitation, she opened her jaws and unleashed a thick cloud of green poison, engulfing the area.

"Damn! That's a lot of poison!" Obito exclaimed, pulling Madara into his Kamui dimension to evade the attack.

As the toxic mist passed harmlessly through them, Madara smirked.

"Interesting ability, Obito."

The White Snake Sage sneered. "Let's see how long your trick can hold up. My poison is absolute—no living creature can survive it!"

"Joke's on you," Obito retorted with a smug grin. "My endurance is legendary!"

Snapping his fingers, he called out, "Sasori, you're up!"

A calm voice echoed from within the mist. "Wind Style: Gale Dance."

A powerful gust swept through the area, dispersing the poisonous cloud.

The White Snake Sage stared in disbelief as all four intruders stood unharmed.

"How... how is this possible?! That poison should have killed them instantly!"

Hidan cackled, pointing at her. "Nice try, but you'll have to do better than that to kill me!" He laughed so hard he coughed up chunks of flesh corroded by the poison.

The Serpents exchanged uneasy glances.

"This one with the scythe... what kind of monster is he?!" Ichikishimahime whispered, her scales bristling.

Realizing her plan was failing, the White Snake Sage growled and issued a command.

"Serpents, deal with the others! I'll handle this brat myself!"

The serpents nodded.

"I'll take the old man," Tagitsuhime declared, lunging toward Madara.

Ichikishimahime hesitated before reluctantly moving to confront Hidan.

Watching the serpents split up, Obito couldn't help but comment, "Who knew these monstrous sisters could be so considerate toward each other? Almost touching, really."
