Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 Top-tier Appearance

Shi An'an sat down, gripping the cup in front of her tightly.

She had fought her own battles to establish a foothold in the entertainment industry, so how was Bian Yue better than her, aside from being born privileged?

A flash of disdain crossed the woman's eyes. Bian Yue caught it but pretended not to see.

Shi An'an was smiling at Bian Yue. As a big star accustomed to the glamor and prestige, her presence was formidable. "I have work this afternoon, unlike Miss Bian who just needs to have afternoon tea to see money rolling in. My time is precious, so please speak directly."

Bian Yue nodded slightly, straightening her body like a diligent student. "You say."

Shi An'an pursed her lips, seriously said, "Miss Bian, Sihe and I are truly in love. Could you kindly let go and bless us?"

Bian Yue wanted to laugh and couldn't hold back. Her laughter, sharp and piercing, stabbed into Shi An'an's heart.

Shi An'an's expression changed.

Bian Yue leisurely sipped her tea, "I've seen many mistresses, but none have been as bold as you, stepping directly on my face."

The words hit a sore spot, and Shi An'an's face turned pale with anger, no longer able to maintain her composure, she abruptly stood up.

"Bian Yue! Don't be shameless! What's the point of holding the title of Sihe's fiancée! His heart isn't with you!"

Bian Yue nodded in agreement, "He has many loves. Miss Shi, isn't it too crowded where you stand?"

"Bian Yue, I thought you were intelligent! Since that's the case, I won't waste more words with you!"

Shi An'an said coldly, then stood up to leave.

At that moment, a waiter with sharp eyes came over, handing Shi An'an a long bill.

"Miss, please settle the bill," the waiter blocked Shi An'an's way.

Shi An'an picked up the bill, her eyes widening as she looked at the total at the bottom and then at the waiter, "Why is it so expensive?"

"This restaurant clearly marks its prices, fair and square," Bian Yue, resting her chin on her hand, looked at the distressed beauty. "Since you're treating me to a meal, how could you afford it without paying the price?"

Shi An'an knew Bian Yue was tormenting her, took out her mobile phone, displayed the payment code, paid the money while painfully biting her lips, and stormed out.

"Wait," Bian Yue suddenly said.

An annoyed Shi An'an turned around, "What now?"

Bian Yue took an umbrella out of her bag, approached Shi An'an, opened it – a light-colored umbrella with a dark pattern, and said with a smile, "Help me sign an autograph, my best friend is your fan."

Shi An'an's face darkened as if stained with soot, she quickly signed her name on the umbrella, then turned and left.

Bian Yue sighed, waited for the signature to dry, then silently packed away the umbrella.

Unnoticed by her, as they confronted each other, the door of the private room behind them slowly opened.

Xie Zhang, who had been pampering the Shen Family's beloved star today, causing the planned reception to lose its spotlight, was naturally afraid of being held accountable by the Shen family, chose this place for its quietness, but unexpectedly encountered a familiar face—the little princess of the Li Sihe family.

A princess is indeed a princess, even just a silhouette exudes an aura of precious nobility.

Li Sihe, in these past two years, had been reckless in his affairs with women, but because of his engagement to Bian Yue, he maintained a decent appearance in her presence.

Xie Zhang glanced at Bian Yue, then at the glamorous actress across from her - Li Sihe's latest favorite.

At the moment, this little pet was signing for the Princess, then left with his tail between his legs, swallowing his pride.

Xie Zhang clicked his tongue and looked away.

Just then, he saw a tall man emerging from the private room.

"Mr. Shen, finished your call?" Xie Zhang pointed in Bian Yue's direction, "That one! Li Sihe's fiancée! She's the one who sabotaged your tire two years ago before you went abroad!"

Shen Jinci followed the direction of Xie Zhang's hand, glancing indifferently.

Just this glance collided with the gaze of Bian Yue, who happened to turn around.

This year, Bian Yue was 22, a producer who had seen plenty of exquisite and perfect male faces.

But racking her brains, she couldn't find a single face that even slightly resembled Shen Jinci in terms of aura.

It was like a speck of gleaming light falling upon the age-old pristine snow, his noble upbringing hiding his inherently cold indifference flawlessly.

His complexion was very pale, yet his eyebrows and eyes were intensely dark, which should have been gentle, but his gaze was too deep, making it frightening to meet his eyes.

Top-tier appearance, unfathomable depth.

Xie Zhang was 185 cm tall, but he was slightly taller than Xie Zhang. Standing next to the fair and handsome Xie Zhang, he made Xie Zhang, who usually seemed composed, look like a naive child.

Bian Yue had never seen him at any public event, yet the moment she saw him, she knew this man was no ordinary noble.

Their eyes met briefly, and alarm bells went off in Bian Yue's heart. Her intuition told her to avoid any interaction with this man, gripping her umbrella, ready to flee.

But Xie Zhang, who loved stoking fires, warmly called out to Bian Yue, saying, "Hey! Bian Yue! Are you out to wreck more hearts again?"

Bian Yue paused, glared at Xie Zhang with her almond-shaped eyes, and spat out each word, "I'll wreck your head."

After that, she left swiftly without any hesitation.

Xie Zhang stood there stunned, unable to snap out of it for a long while. Finally, he widened his eyes, angrily stared at Shen Jinci, and said, "Has that girl gone mad!" Xie Zhang laughed angrily, "She used to be so gentle, and now all she does is spout curses!"

Shen Jinci's expression was calm and stern, showing no reaction. He walked composedly toward the downstairs.

His aura was distinctly profound, and his presence alone could not help but attract sidelong glances from women.

Xie Zhang sighed and followed him, looking down unwittingly seeing the lighter in Shen Jinci's hand.

Red plastic hard shell, like some trash from the last century.

Xie Zhang found it tasteless just by looking at it, puzzled by Shen Jinci's taste.

"Why are you still using this lighter? I remember you were using this when you went abroad two years ago," said Xie Zhang in surprise, "Can this cheap plastic's oil really last this long?"

The man slightly withdrew his hand holding the lighter, stepping off the boat, while a fine rain was like drawing silk from the sky.

Shen Jinci's lips clenched a cigarette, casually shielding the flame with his hand, the flame flickering and reflecting off his porcelain white, elegantly long-finger joint on a cold silver ring.

He slightly turned his head, the cigarette lit, and in the gloomy, dark sky, a flicker of crimson sparkled.

Such fluid movements possessed an indescribable sexiness.

Xie Zhang wrapped his coat tighter and sighed, "Had I known I'd encounter that ancestor Bian Yue, I would rather go to the open sea today and eat eye-rolling dead fish than come here."

The black Maybach, slightly longer than the usual models, with its license plate number being a sequential 1, was steadily parked by the roadside.

The attendant got off the car and respectfully opened the door.

Shen Jinci extinguished the cigarette he had taken a few puffs from, his posture elegant, resembling a medieval noble.

He bent down to get in.

Xie Zhang came closer, saw Shen Jinci had taken the seat by the door, and couldn't help raising his eyebrows, "Mr. Shen, move in a bit, otherwise, how can I sit?"

Shen Jinci's face was half-hidden inside the car, the interplay of light and shadow obscuring his emotions even more.

His lips slightly moved: "Crowded."
