After breakfast, Lu Wuqi and Yun Qinguye were about to set out for a little inspection of the surrounding area of the RV as well as the abandoned shopping mall infront of which their RV stood.
Yun Qinguye's gentle but firm voice broke the early morning silence as she approached Lu Wuqi, who seemed to be in deep thought as she sat on the sofa. "Lu Wuqi, How are the injuries on your arms and back now? Is the bandage still in place? Do they hurt anymore?" she said softly, a trace of concern lacing her tone. The words were careful and measured, but beneath them lay the weight of responsibility and a touch of tenderness that belied her usual commanding presence.
Lu Wuqi was immediately brought back to her senses, and she replied with a genlte hum. Her heart was filled with a sweet and warm feeling at Yun Qinguye's concern for her and for a moment, Lu Wuqi's mind drifted back to the previous night—a night that had been as quiet as it was intense.
