The car that had just driven into the restaurant's compound came to a stop, and the door swung open. Maria stropped out, her eyes scanning the building with fascination.
"It's... Pleasing to the eye" she commented and adjusted her suit.
It was her first time going on a date, with someone. A man. Not just any man, but Marcello Diabolo.
She just couldn't wait to see him for the first time after so long. She followed the manager and waiters to the VIP room.
Just when they reached the door, she heard voices and stopped the manager from opening the door.
"Don't worry I'll go in from here. We'll call if we need you" she said.
"Uh... Okay. Please, call us if you need anything at all" the manager said and left with the waiters.
Maria could hear two different voices. An angry vein popped at the corner of her head, and the corner of her lips twitched in irritation.
