Marcello came from nowhere and planted a kiss on his cheek, snapping him back to reality.
"Don't go anywhere, babe. I'll be back before you know it. Mario will bring your lunch soon. Once he's done, send him out and lock the door," he said and left, slamming the door closed.
Eduardo leaned back on the bed, sliding his fingers into his hair.
'Is this what I get for being reborn as a slave?'
He thought to himself and went to shower. There's no way he could get rid of the bite and redness on his skin.
He put on a white polo and long pants as he returned to the room. Mario was there, waiting for him.
"Hey, Eddy!" Mario seemed excited to see him. Eduardo forced a smile and sat on the couch.
"Hi," he mumbled. Mario was that he wasn't looking like his normal self. It's as if he's broken.
Despite Marcello's warning to hand over the lunch to Eduardo and leave the room, he walked closer to Eddy and sat on the couch.
