"Harden has already awakened his innate ability?" Amy asked in disbelief. Innate abilities were rare in the first place, and even those who had one didn't learn theirs so quickly—it usually took years just to discover it.
"It's most likely the case," Hawkins continued. "His mythical force doesn't fit into one class—it fits with all. That's why the machine couldn't determine a class for him."
"So is it some sort of copy skill, then?" Raizo asked.
"That's what we're going to determine," Hawkins said.
"How?" Harden asked.
"We'll push you to the limit," Hawkins said, continuing. "We'll find out everything we can: the ability's weaknesses, the conditions for using other skills, the limit on the number of usable skills. When you use other skills—are they as good as the real deal or are they cheap imitations? Do you activate it at will, or is it subconscious? Is it possible to use more than one skill at a time?"
"That one is possible," Harden interrupted. "I've done it before, but I'm not sure how."
"So how do we determine those things?" Raizo asked.
"First up—Harden, you can't consciously use your ability, can you?" Hawkins asked.
"No, I can't," Harden answered. "I just felt this... feeling, like I could use the skill of someone I'd seen, and somehow I did."
"Alright, that's where we'll start." As soon as Hawkins finished his sentence, he was already in front of Harden. He hit him with the martial arts skill Azure Tornado Kick. The kick connected with Harden's face, sending him flying.
"What the heck was that for?" Harden struggled to say as blood filled his mouth.
"I'm beating you until you use your ability. If you don't want to land in the hospital, you'd better start now," Hawkins said with a smile.
"Huh?!" Harden replied.
