The night had fallen, and the waves were very silent, unlike the island, which was very lively.
A party had begun across the island, one that wouldn't stop that night—or the next.
All the villagers were celebrating, laughing, playing, and jumping with joy because Arlong's tyranny had finally ended.
Usopp was telling the townspeople how he had defeated one of the officers of the Pirates, which earned him an ovation.
Luffy was eating everything placed in front of him, something that amazed the townspeople, since he had eaten more than almost everyone combined.
Zoro and Sanji were talking normally until Luffy arrived.
"AH! Hey, Sanji! That last melon you ate, did it have something special?" Luffy asked, holding meat in both hands.
"What about the meat you have in both hands?" Zoro asked.
"Yeah, sure," Sanji replied to Luffy. "It was melon with fresh ham, so it had fresh ham in it."
"Melon with ham?! Where is it?! It sounds delicious!" Luffy asked excitedly.
"I don't know, but the whole town is celebrating. Someone must have brought it," Sanji responded.
"I'm going to find it!"
Luffy ran off to search for that melon.
"He's a glutton," Zoro said as he finished his beer.
"Alright, I'm done eating," Sanji said. "Time to find some ladies!"
Sanji went off to flirt, while Zoro lay down to sleep.
While they were enjoying the party, Oliver was in the forest, with food scraps on the ground, training.
"I have to learn to use Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. It's strong but difficult to master."
He punched a tree, but nothing happened.
"Damn it, if I fail, I get nowhere. I'll need a lot more training."
He kept punching the tree, trying to break it using only that combat style, but he couldn't manage it.
"This is more complicated than I thought."
He lay on the ground, looking at the stars while listening to people having fun.
"I have to get stronger. If that Fishman had been like Kuroobi, I don't think things would have ended well."
He relaxed for a moment while thinking about what to do.

"My combat styles leveled up quite a bit. That fight helped, and the Hardened Skin talent was also useful to avoid taking too much damage."
He looked at the two tokens he had and took them out of his inventory.
"First, the Talent one."
He summoned the machine and inserted the token.
The wheel spun, and a black-and-silver sphere appeared.
[Talent: Affinity with Devil Fruits]
[The user adapts more quickly to their Devil Fruit.]
"When I get a Devil Fruit, this talent will help me a lot."
He placed the Devil Fruit Token in the machine, spun the wheel, and a silver sphere appeared.
[Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Quetzalcoatlus]
[Allows the user to transform into a hybrid Quetzalcoatlus form and a full Quetzalcoatlus form, making them a Quetzalcoatlus-human.]
"A Mythical Zoan?!"
[Error]
[It is a Prehistoric Zoan-type Devil Fruit. The Quetzalcoatlus is a giant pterosaur that lived during the Cretaceous period.]
[The one you are confusing it with is Quetzalcoatl, a Mesoamerican deity appearing in various mythologies. Known as the "Feathered Serpent," it is depicted as a creator god, wise and benevolent.]
"Oh... and here I got excited for nothing. Their names are too similar."
He looked at the money he had and thought about what to do.
"I'm fine with my combat styles. At the very least, I want to reach 30% in one of them. Besides..." He glanced at the new combat style. "I have to master it properly, even if it's weaker."
He dismissed the idea of weapons, as he had no intention of using any, and he wasn't sure if gauntlets would count as weapons.
"If I did Garp's training, my fists would get stronger, but I don't have a Marine ship to punch. As for Devil Fruits, I'd rather wait for that Special Gacha to appear."
He bought two Talent Tokens and placed them in the Gacha Machine.
The first one produced a black-and-silver sphere.
[Talent: Disease Resistance]
[Grants the user greater resistance to diseases.]
"That's good—really good."
The second was another black-and-silver sphere.
"I've got some luck."
[Talent: Heat Resistance]
[Allows the user to withstand high temperatures without issues.]
"Now I have both Heat and Cold Resistance. I wonder if that affects fire and ice Devil Fruits?"
[Congratulations!]
"Huh?"
[You just obtained two talents that can merge.]
"What?"
Oliver was confused, and became even more so when the Heat and Cold Resistance talents appeared from his status.
The talents started spinning and fused into a new talent.
[Talent: Absolute Climate Resistance]
[Grants the user complete immunity to extreme temperatures and sudden climate changes.]
Oliver's mouth hung open as he saw what had just happened.
"How did that even happen?!"
[Certain talents can fuse to create a more powerful one. The more talents you acquire, the higher the chances of obtaining a fusion.]
"Looks like I'll have to spend more money on talents," Oliver said, continuing his training.

The next morning, everyone got things ready for the Going Merry.
Johnny and Yosaku said their goodbyes, as they had to continue their work as bounty hunters.
Everyone was waiting for Nami to arrive, which made Sanji uneasy.
"Is Nami-san not coming?! She's the only reason I'm still with you guys!" Sanji shouted.
"So, did she jump off the ship?" Oliver asked from behind him.
"If you want, I can help you," Zoro said.
Just then, Nami arrived and shouted to the crew.
"Raise the anchor!"
Nami ran toward the ship, confusing the others.
"Huh? Why is she running?" Usopp wondered.
"Well, she said to raise the anchor, so that's what we'll do," Luffy said.
They started raising the anchor, while the townspeople tried to stop them, wanting to thank Nami for what she had done for them.
"Are you sure about letting her leave like this?" Sanji asked Luffy.
"If she wants to leave this way, let her," Luffy replied.
Nami ran through the crowd until she reached the dock, then jumped onto the Going Merry.
As soon as she landed on the ship, Nami lifted her shirt slightly, causing numerous wallets to fall to the ground.
The townspeople searched for them but couldn't find them.
"See you later," Nami said, holding a 10,000 Belly bill in her hand.
"Thief Cat!" the entire town shouted angrily.
"She hasn't changed one bit," Usopp said.
"You never know when she'll betray us again," Zoro said.
"Well done, Nami," Sanji praised her.
"Pretty cheerful, that's good," Oliver commented.
"Hahahaha," Luffy just laughed.
The townspeople kept shouting at Nami as they bid her farewell, thanking her for her help.
'Bellemere-san, I'm leaving,' Nami thought, saying goodbye to her mother.
"Brat!" Genzo shouted from the shore. "Don't forget our promise!"
Luffy just smiled and gave a thumbs-up.
"Goodbye! See you!"
And with six crew members, they continued their journey toward their next destination… The Grand Line.
