Mr. Ted looked at Lance sitting opposite him. Despite being the one standing, he felt as though he was being belittled.
The receptionist and several employees stood outside the door, making him feel his face flush with embarrassment.
He had always been the strongest among them, almost a tyrant in front of his staff!
But now... his hand was on the phone, "If you don't leave this place, I will call the police."
Lance raised his chin, "Call now. If you don't know the number, I can tell you."
The two stared at each other for a moment. Mr. Ted saw not a hint of fear in Lance's eyes; instead, Lance looked at him defiantly, as if really urging him to make the call.
He knew that once this phone call was made, some things would be difficult to undo.
He glanced at the employees outside who were watching the excitement, feeling embarrassed and helpless. He was trapped and couldn't step down.
