An image of a "hard-nosed bureau chief" had been established, and even if Director Dale couldn't climb up to the core, he wouldn't easily fall in Golden Port City.
Politicians always view issues differently from other people, and it didn't take long for the Mayor to shift his attention from Director Dale to Poli.
He thought for a moment, picked up the phone, and dialed a number.
"Did you watch the news?" he asked.
A very composed voice came from the other end, "I did."
"Now your locals are starting to break the rules, how do you plan to handle it?"
After a few seconds, the other party said, "We will take care of him..."
The Mayor said with a hint of sarcasm, "I hope you can do it because if this affects my run for the State Legislature, I'll be staying here for a much longer time!"
He hung up after finishing, telling the other party that if they didn't want him to stay and create ideological opposition with "the locals," they'd better handle the matter quickly.
