In the afternoon, outside the Imperial Night Club, two guests quickly entered through a side door next to the main entrance. They headed straight to the third floor and upon reaching the hall outside, they knocked forcefully on the door.
One of them appeared very familiar with the entire process, and even had a look of impatience on his face.
A moment later, the door cracked open slightly, and in an instant, a unique smell that could only be found in a gambling den seeped through the gap.
The eyes of one of the two men lit up.
The doorman sized them up. One was a regular, but the other was a newcomer, seemingly never having been there before.
"Your friend?" he asked, standing in the doorway.
The familiar gambler nodded, "My friend here also likes to play a few hands. We don't like trouble, I guarantee it."
The doorman scrutinized them again and then pulled the door open, "You'd better not be lying, or you know the consequences."
