Along the corridor, a pitch-black darkness loomed, concealing unknown dangers within.
The only source of light was the cold, abnormal green glow of the emergency exit sign, which cast a small glimmer, allowing Xiao Yi and his companions to barely make out the door of the room they had just left, as well as the door of the adjacent room.
"Behind this door lies your secret... the truth about why you became an ogre," Xiao Yi said.
Xiao Yi then approached the door of the neighboring room.
Clements silently looked at Xiao Yi, as if to ask him whether to open the door or not.
Xiao Yi replied, "Open it."
"I understand. Then..." Clements took a deep breath and once again confronted an experience from his past.
The door opened, filling the room with the orange glow of the sunset while the corridor remained shrouded in darkness.
