Not wanting to waste any more time, Logan and his followers boarded the ship designated for them. It was the largest vessel in the harbor—imported from one of the distant islands that had been spared the worst of the previous battles.
The ship itself was a marvel. Its hull was forged from reinforced steel, layered with light brown wood that had faint enchantments and mana crystals embedded into it. The design was aggressive, almost militaristic. Rows of ballistae and magic cannons lined the sides, each window positioned with tactical precision.
As Logan and Lady Elara stepped onto the deck, the crew snapped to attention, offering formal salutes. Behind them came Earl Rosengard and his daughter, followed closely by the rest of Logan's team.
"This is going to be a long trip, hero," Lady Elara said in a stern tone, her arms crossed as she watched the waves. "I hope you and your crew don't get seasick easily."
