2013 was destined to be an unusual year. That year, starting with the Orca Martial God's pillow disrupting the river, Yan Country finally lifted the martial arts lockdown, and when it did, it was big!
Many students, after experiencing a summer vacation, found their class schedules had undergone unprecedented change. Not only had physical education become "martial arts class," but it was now on par with major subjects like language and math, pushing courses like art and music into a single arts period. It even snatched some class time from less emphasized core subjects like English and geography.
While the idea of schools starting to teach inner strength might sound a bit like fantasy, for students in the throes of puberty, it was a welcome change that they accepted without needing any adaptation period.
