At one in the morning, the brilliant neon lights that had enveloped the streets of Tokyo had receded, replaced by the dim glow of streetlights, and the bustling city had entered into slumber.
The lights at the Police Headquarters, however, were still brightly lit.
The atmosphere in the meeting room was heavy.
"These are photos from the scene. The entire villa was completely destroyed, and a family of four are all dead. Preliminary investigation of the residue found at the scene proves this was a deliberate attack,"

The Special Investigation Department was responsible for the explosion incident, and he was in charge of this case which was under the jurisdiction of the First Division's Sections 1 to 3.
"Have the identities of the victims been confirmed?"
Deputy Director Asai Youki asked.
