That very day, the Tokyo District Court confirmed the accuracy of the criminal facts, and the related documents were sent to the Tokyo Court.
On the third day, media outlets began to report on the matter en masse, and Judgment Chief Takizawa Shikou of the Supreme Court called for a swift and expedient trial at the Tokyo District Court to provide the public with an explanation since the justice had broken the law in spite of knowing it, an act deemed particularly reprehensible.
On the fourth day, the trial of Shinichi Panasonic's bribery case was conducted by a panel of three judges at the Tokyo District Court, with Hashimoto Miho, the presiding judge, ultimately sentencing Shinichi to a three-year prison term on the grounds of his favorable attitude in admitting guilt.
