Before his death, the man revealed some critically important intelligence. He told the people of the camp that the Great Catastrophe of the Goli Desert originated from a research facility in the Goli Region. The facility was studying a power that fundamentally couldn't be fully mastered. As expected, that power went out of control; the experiments became violent, the lab was ruined, researchers were either dead or had mutated. The power that spilled from the lab led the Goli Region into the Great Catastrophe.
