Birds of prey circled in the sky, their target in a different direction from where they were.
Old Gao wanted to check out the situation, but the supplies he carried weren't sufficient for him to wander off.
After observing for a while, the birds of prey disappeared from sight, and Old Gao reluctantly followed Chen Ying down the mountain.
They hadn't walked far when they heard the squeaky sounds of monkeys.
Chen Ying looked closely, and it seemed to be the same group of monkeys that had soaked in the hot springs earlier.
But they appeared somewhat panicky, perching high in the trees and looking very alert.
Old Gao quickly pulled out his map and glanced at it.
"It's over at Long Haizi Slope."
The mountain they were on was among the smaller ones within the Snow Mountains, and heading further in the northwest direction would lead them to several of the famous larger snow-capped mountains, close to the cities where glaciers lie.
