Destroyer of Lies? Eldon wondered. Considering that Satan is the Father of Lies…. His thoughts trailed off as the dark Pillar focused on Megan and him.
"The punishment and balance of the cost must come from them." Lucifer pointed Eldon's way. It felt as though a lightning bolt struck his sternum as his breath fled his lungs. By Megan's gasp next to him, she didn't fare any better.
Despite having been willing to do whatever was necessary only moments before to protect Megan, now he doubted. He was still reeling from Shelly's revelation. What more could the being want from him?
