Chapter 101 - Nah I'd Win

Fang Yuan is currently breaking through to Rank 6 Immortal using a Strength Path Gu called Adapt and Evolve Gu. The Adapt and Evolve Gu is a Strength Path Gu designed to push the user beyond normal physical limits. Unlike conventional Strength Path Gu, which either refine the body permanently or provide temporary bursts of power, this Gu continuously adapts and evolves the user's strength in real-time.

There are, of course, weaknesses to this Gu. The main issue is that Fang Yuan doesn't know which direction his evolution may take—he could evolve into a dragon, a beast, or something completely unexpected. However, he had to take risks because the benefits were immense: it greatly increased strength, allowing him to break the natural limitations of a human body with ease.

At the mortal rank, this Gu had clear limitations, but when he obtained the recipe for the Immortal Gu version of Adapt and Evolve Gu, he realized its true potential. It could rank among the top ten mystical Gu, but its severe side effects made it questionable whether it deserved such a position.

Fang Yuan was now in a secluded, desolate place where no one could find him. He had already scanned the area with his investigative methods, ensuring absolute solitude.

Before Fang Yuan started to ascend, Bai Ning Bing asked a question.

"Fang Yuan, is the tribulation going to be super hard to face?" Bai Ning Bing asked, excitement gleaming in her eyes.

"Of course, it's going to be hard. My luck is bad, so it will be even harder." Fang Yuan said calmly.

"Then, are you going to lose?"

"Nah, I'd win."

With a deep breath, he closed his eyes, then exhaled slowly as he shattered his aperture, preparing to ascend.

A deafening silence filled the air for an instant before a surge of terrifying energy erupted from within his body. His shattered aperture collapsed into itself, giving birth to the embryonic form of an immortal aperture. However, the moment the transformation began, the sky darkened, and the heavens trembled.

BOOM!

Tribulation clouds gathered at an alarming speed, taking on the form of a colossal titan wreathed in storming black flames, its body composed of pure heavenly law. The Crushing Titan Cataclysm had begun—a tribulation related to Strength Path.

Fang Yuan remained indifferent, his eyes cold as he observed the incoming disaster.

The first wave came not in the form of lightning but immense gravitational pressure. The weight of the heavens bore down upon Fang Yuan, seeking to crush him into dust, testing whether his body could withstand absolute suppression.

Fang Yuan's muscles tensed as the Adapt and Evolve Gu roared to life within him. His evolving body resisted the weight, his bones groaning under the extreme pressure but refusing to break. Every passing second, the force increased, attempting to grind him into nothingness. Blood began to seep from his pores as his veins threatened to burst under the growing force.

Then came the second phase—the Titan Fist Annihilation. From the swirling vortex of tribulation clouds, the colossal titan construct descended with a single punch, shattering the very ground beneath Fang Yuan.

His body twisted unnaturally to avoid the direct impact, but the shockwave still tore into him. His ribs cracked, his flesh ruptured, but his body evolved instantly, repairing the damage and fortifying his structure against future strikes.

Yet, his tribulation was far from over.

From the collapsing battlefield, massive stone figures emerged—Earthborn Guardians, each twenty meters tall, wielding weapons infused with the dao marks of Strength Path. These heavenly enforcers moved with terrifying force, their attacks shattering mountains in a single blow.

Fang Yuan wasted no time.

His foot slammed into the ground, activating a strength-based killer move, sending a shockwave through the battlefield. He dashed forward, unleashing a devastating punch that shattered the first Earthborn Guardian into rubble. Another swung its weapon at him, but his adaptability had already taken effect—his body had evolved to counter heavy-impact strikes.

However, the constant evolution came at a cost—his body was mutating rapidly, warping into something monstrous. His muscles bulged uncontrollably, his bones twisted, and his entire physique began to take on a new form. Blood gushed from his skin, his flesh tearing apart and regenerating simultaneously, until his body could no longer retain its original structure. His legs extended, his spine lengthened, and his skin hardened into iridescent scales. His fingers sharpened into claws, his pupils slit like a beast's. His form had become something beyond human—a towering dragon woman with an overwhelming aura of destruction.

The tribulation responded in kind—the titan roared, gathering the final attack, its entire body morphing into a massive falling hammer, prepared to crush Fang Yuan once and for all.

Fang Yuan let out a deep breath. He felt his strength reaching its peak, his foundation stabilizing as his immortal transformation neared completion. But his body was at its limit—if he did not control the mutations soon, he would become something unrecognizable.

With a final surge of willpower, he forced the Adapt and Evolve Gu into complete synchronization, stabilizing the uncontrollable transformations. His dragon-like body compressed, retaining its overwhelming power but regaining a humanoid form, though the remnants of his draconic features remained—a pair of curved horns, faintly glowing scales tracing his limbs, and eyes that gleamed with a terrifying bestial light.

He activated Peak Dominance Surge, a killer move that multiplied his strength tenfold for a single instant.

BOOM!

The impact between Fang Yuan's clawed fist and the descending titan hammer caused the entire battlefield to collapse. The tribulation clouds shattered apart, unable to sustain themselves any longer. The Crushing Titan Cataclysm had been defeated.

As the dust settled, Fang Yuan stood tall, his immortal aperture fully formed—a vast, self-contained world brimming with Strength Path essence.

With his body now truly immortal, he hovered in the sky, his draconic form exuding an aura of dominance.

Descending back to the ground, the transformation finally complete, he exhaled slowly, his gaze sharp. He had ascended to Rank 6.

Bai Ning Bing stood in the distance, watching in silence, keeping her thoughts of excitment to herself, playing no part in what had just transpired.

"Why did I transform into a dragonwoman? My luck was Black Coffin, yet every part of my body evolved in the direction of a dragonman. So, Chaos Demon Venerable is truly trying to shape me into something he desires."

Fang Yuan, despite knowing the side effects of the Gu, still used it to confirm his assumptions. It did not matter to him what race he became—as long as he could cultivate, he could crush all others.
