Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: The Unified Sea Spiders

The water wall slammed into the light shield Fang Chang had deployed, but this time, the force of the water wall was several times stronger than before.

From the moment the water wall collided with the light shield, the shield began to tremble violently, and Fang Chang's body was pushed back relentlessly.

After holding out for about two seconds, the light shield shattered with a loud bang. Although the water wall's power had been weakened, it continued to surge forward, crashing into Fang Chang's shield-like spider legs.

Another dull thud echoed as Fang Chang's body was sent flying in a parabolic arc, skidding across the ground for twenty to thirty meters before finally coming to a stop behind the nest.

His health bar had dropped significantly, and his two shield-like spider legs were cracked. He spat out a mouthful of blood, looking utterly miserable.

Despite his desperate resistance, the water wall's momentum had been mostly neutralized, reduced to less than a tenth of its original size. However, the remaining force still surged toward their nest.

Behind him, Little Gold and her two younger sisters, seeing that Fang Chang hadn't completely stopped the water wall, immediately took action to block the remaining force.

Little Gold stepped forward, and dozens of water arrows formed around her, rapidly striking the water wall and further suppressing its momentum.

Her two younger sisters once again activated their soul power fusion skill. A pale blue water droplet appeared above their heads before shooting toward the water wall.

The water droplet shattered upon impact, but the water wall's size was reduced even further.

By now, the soul power emanating from the water wall was much weaker than before, roughly equivalent to a full-powered attack from an ordinary hundred-thousand-year soul beast.

With a determined look, the three sisters stepped forward together, conjuring a water shield in front of them to block the remaining force.

The shockwave from the collision sent the three sisters flying backward, crashing into the nest and causing part of it to collapse.

Fortunately, they had managed to prevent the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King's attack from directly hitting the nest. Otherwise, the weaker members of their clan would have been annihilated.

"Get lost, and don't let me see you again," the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King's voice boomed from afar like a tolling bell.

Without another word, it turned and swam back to its territory, leaving behind a scene of devastation.

Initially, the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King had only intended to teach these annoying little spiders a lesson, preferably by wiping out most of their clan to ensure they never forgot it.

However, when it saw that its attack had been partially blocked by a spider that wasn't even a hundred thousand years old, it felt its pride wounded and decided to exert a bit more force.

Now that its goal had been achieved, it saw no reason to linger.

As it left, the ground finally stopped shaking, and the terrifying suction force in the water disappeared.

Fang Chang slowly got up, using his spider legs to support himself, and then helped the queen and her two sisters to their feet. They all looked in the direction the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King had gone, their hearts filled with lingering fear.

Thankfully, the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King hadn't been intent on killing them this time. If it had unleashed a few more attacks like that, they would have all been buried here.

The four leading spiders were now seriously injured, and some of the sea spiders hiding in the nest had also been lost. However, the main force of their clan had been preserved.

Fang Chang ordered Little Gold to gather the members from both sides. A quick count revealed around a hundred and eighty spiders, which was a considerable force.

In the current sea spider clan, the queen and her two sisters each had around eighty thousand years of cultivation, and Fang Chang's strength was comparable to a hundred-thousand-year soul beast.

In terms of top-tier combat power, they were now on par with top-tier sea soul beast races like the Devil Soul Great White Shark. Perhaps, in time, they could begin their next plan.

The queen and her two sisters exchanged glances. Little Gold instinctively moved closer to Fang Chang, while her two younger sisters stood together.

"What?!" Little Gold suddenly received a mental message from Fang Chang, instructing her to apologize to her sisters and revoke the order that had exiled them from the sea spider clan. She couldn't help but scream in shock.

No matter how much Fang Chang tried to persuade her, she couldn't bring herself to swallow her pride. Her two younger sisters, meanwhile, tilted their heads in confusion, completely baffled by what their elder sister and their current king were doing.

After a long standoff, Little Gold finally gave in to Fang Chang's persistent coaxing and agreed.

She turned her head, her face stiff, and said in a trembling voice, "I... I'm sorry."

"Huh?" Her two younger sisters were stunned. Was this really their elder sister? But the surprises didn't end there.

After a long silence, Little Gold continued, "I now declare that the order exiling you from the sea spider clan two hundred years ago is hereby revoked."

"Wel... welcome back, my sisters."

Of course, these words had been taught to her by Fang Chang. Her mind was a complete mess, and she couldn't think of anything to say on her own.

Contrary to her expectations, her sisters didn't mock her. Instead, they stared at her with complex expressions.

After a long pause, they sighed, stepped forward, and extended their spider legs to embrace Little Gold. Tears welled up in the eyes of all three spiders, who had once been estranged.

After all, they had been sisters for tens of thousands of years. Even if the sea spider clan was known for its coldness, there was still some affection between them.

For the two younger sisters, when they were still part of the clan, their elder sister had kept them in check, preventing them from acting too recklessly. At the time, they hadn't understood the burdens of leading a clan.

But after striking out on their own, they had faced many hardships and realized just how many races were stronger than the sea spiders. They gradually came to understand their elder sister's desire to avoid making enemies and protect their clan's legacy.

As for Little Gold, though she appeared cold and aloof, she had secretly been keeping an eye on her sisters' activities.

She had long wanted to bring them back into the clan, but two things had stopped her: first, her sisters had made too many enemies; second, her own pride had prevented her from reaching out.

With Fang Chang's help, they finally put their past conflicts behind them, and the two branches of the sea spider clan were reunited.

Now that their nest had been mostly destroyed and the threat of the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King loomed, they didn't dare stay any longer.

Within minutes, the four spiders led their clan away, embarking on the journey back to their sunken ship nest.

As soon as they arrived at the sunken ship, Little Gold eagerly showed her sisters the dragon skeleton they had discovered.

The two sisters were shocked when they saw the skeleton. Having led their own clans, they understood the significance of such a find for their race.

From that day on, the sunken ship nest regained its former vitality and became even livelier.

The clan members brought back by the two sisters were all battle-hardened, and with the help of the dragon skeleton and the bone-infused mud, their strength grew by leaps and bounds.

However, the sunken ship covering the nest became increasingly crowded. Despite Little Gold's objections, her two sisters insisted on moving in to serve Fang Chang.

The sea spiders below would often see the ship above them shaking irregularly. Sometimes, fragments of the ship would fall from the vibrations, landing on their heads.

This peaceful life continued for several months until Fang Chang and the three sisters had fully recovered from their injuries.

Only then did they begin preparing for their next target—the Devil Soul Great White Shark.
