Chapter 114 - Chapter 92.1 : Teaming Up!!

The sealing space inside Uzumaki Kushina's body was completely different from the dark and damp environment that her son, Uzumaki Naruto, was in.

Instead, it was a world filled with bright light and dazzling, confusing surroundings, giving off a dreamy, magical girl transformation kind of vibe.

However, the situation for the Nine-Tails was different. The sealing chains of the Uzumaki clan were wrapped around the Nine-Tails, entangling its limbs, tail, body, and neck, making it very difficult for the Nine-Tails to move even the slightest bit.

Uchiha Kai, who was watching, definitely thought that this was much worse than being confined in a cage.

At least the cage inside Naruto's body wasn't that big, but the Nine-Tails could easily stand, lay down, or move in other ways.

This wasn't even the worst situation for the Nine-Tails. In the original story, when Minato and his wife improved their sealing technique, they reinforced it further and directly tied the Nine-Tails to a huge stone made of chakra.

The fox was spread out in a large "X" shape, pinned to the stone with chakra spikes piercing through its limbs, tail, and body. That was the truly miserable moment.

With such a fate, it's no surprise that the Nine-Tails, who had a fiery temper and was proud, would explode in anger. Even the second-tailed beast, who had a better temperament, would explode in the same situation.

Actually, Uchiha Kai didn't harbor much malice toward the big fox. In fact, he even looked forward to the Nine-Tails becoming a user in his game.

After all, the Nine-Tails was a chakra-based creature, a standard level of power for shadow-class beings, and it was one of the strongest among them.

If they could play a Genjutsu game together, who knows how much emotional value the Nine-Tails could give off in such a situation.

So, Uchiha Kai looked at the giant monster with a friendly gaze, showing no hostility, and spoke up.

"Nine-Tails, we're here to talk terms."

The Nine-Tails, however, didn't listen to anything Uchiha Kai was saying.

Its massive fox face, much bigger than the one inside Naruto's future body, twisted into a cruel and violent expression.

Its huge vertical pupils were filled with bloodshot veins.

Chakra filled with hatred burst out in a crimson explosion, and it opened its enormous mouth, letting out a furious roar.

"Get out of my way!!!"

The classic sharp words, completely without any intention to communicate. The intense hatred and resentment make it clear that this guy has no rationality at all.

Beside him, Kushina Uzumaki frowned and said, "Kai, the Nine-Tails is like this. Although it can speak, it seems to have no normal reasoning. If you're not careful, this guy's wild and destructive chakra will swallow you whole."

With these words, Kushina Uzumaki was already using her own chakra to resist and suppress the chakra released by the Nine-Tails, which was putting a lot of pressure on her.

In fact, this was the typical behavior of a tailed beast when it was used as a jinchuriki.

It was abnormal for the Nine-Tails to be able to communicate with Naruto in a somewhat normal way, most likely because it had watched Naruto grow up, which allowed some form of communication.

To understand the Nine-Tails' true attitude towards others, just think back to the time when Naruto completely lost control and transformed into a tailed beast—that was a chaotic madness and maliciousness as if it wanted to destroy the world.

Moreover, even though the Nine-Tails eventually reconciled with Naruto, it was only after being defeated by Naruto.

Without overcoming the power of this fox, don't expect it to engage in meaningful communication.

Uchiha Kai understood this well.

As a close friend of Minato Namikaze, he had long known that the Nine-Tails was not just a simple beast, it was capable of communication. He had even advised Kushina to communicate with the Nine-Tails to resolve its hatred.

Kushina Uzumaki had already tried multiple times, but each attempt ended in failure.

As always, the Nine-Tails wouldn't listen unless it was beaten first. Even Naruto's talk no jutsu wouldn't work, let alone Kushina's fiery personality.

At that moment, Uchiha Kai said, "Then there's no choice. Since negotiation failed, let's just take action!"

"Let's beat it up first, and after that, it will calm down and talk to us."

After hearing this, Minato was stunned. "Huh? Kai, are we going to fight now? Shouldn't we try talking a bit more?"

Uchiha Kai looked at Minato with confusion. "The other side completely refuses to talk with us. What else can we do if not act?"

Minato was embarrassed. "I thought, knowing your style, you'd use genjutsu games to trick it."

Uchiha Kai shook his head.

"Kushina definitely tried that, and the Nine-Tails can also see what's happening outside. But it still behaves like this, meaning games can't tempt it. It probably thinks human games are meaningless to a powerful beast like it."

As he said this, his gaze fell on the Nine-Tails, who was clashing with Kushina's chakra.

Despite being enraged, the Nine-Tails could hear the conversation and gave a dismissive smirk, as if agreeing with Kai's words—how could petty human games tempt such a noble beast?

Seeing this, Minato glanced at Kushina. Kushina, focused on suppressing the Nine-Tails, noticed Minato's gaze and slightly nodded, confirming that Kai was right. She had already tried, but it didn't work.

Of course, it was also possible that Kushina's fiery personality might have made the Nine-Tails annoyed, leading to the failure of the negotiations.

But that doesn't matter anymore, because now that they've reached this point, the only way to communicate effectively is to fight first.

Or, rather, fighting is the simplest, most direct, and primal form of communication—at least it can make an idiot quiet enough for a conversation.

Konoha's Hokage, Minato Namikaze, who found the situation was far different from what he expected, asked worriedly, "Kai, in the sealing space, we can't fight at full strength. There are many restrictions. Will we win?"

Uchiha Kai: "We'll win."

After saying that, he fell silent for a moment, realizing that somehow, without intending to, Minato Namikaze had made him set a flag, and he couldn't help but look at him with a speechless expression.

Minato, relieved by Uchiha Kai's "We'll win," smiled and turned his attention back to the Nine-Tails. This was the kind of boundless trust in a good friend.

Uchiha Kai, seeing this, couldn't help but feel helpless. Minato really trusted him unconditionally, more than he trusted himself.

There was no turning back now. At this point, they had no choice but to move forward.

Uchiha Kai and Minato Namikaze stood side by side, both looking up at the massive Nine-Tails.

In that stance, if viewed from the right angle, it was like a perfect future version of Naruto and Sasuke standing side by side—an iconic recreation.

But no, Naruto and Sasuke hadn't been born yet. So, even if those two kids stood together in the future, it would only be a classic recreation of Uchiha Kai and Minato.

Right now, it almost felt like the two main characters of this era were about to team up to take on the Nine-Tails.
