Sinhui approached with quick steps, his figure cutting through the darkening courtyard.
Maintaining her composure, Hwayeong replied calmly.
“Not at all. I was trying to see how His Highness, the Crown Prince, would react if I tried.”
“And why would you do that?”
Smiling mischievously, Hwayeong responded.
“I was just curious, Your Highness.”
Sinhui turned his gaze to Sinyeong, silently asking for an explanation.
But Sinyeong, still frazzled, gestured for him to leave it for later.
Nodding, Sinhui shifted his focus back to Hwayeong.
“I received the album you sent. You’re quite talented.”
“Pardon?”
“The Crown Prince delivered it to me. He said it was a temporary loan. When should I return it?”
Catching on to the situation, Hwayeong glanced at Sinyeong before turning back to Sinhui.
“Take your time, Your Highness. Return it whenever you’ve enjoyed the flowers enough.”
“Can I?”
