Chapter 20
Retiring into the house she decided to rest before going to bathe the kids. The troll of the up and down was getting to her and she felt sleepy. With that in mind she laid down on the wooden bed and closed her eyes immediately deciding to take a quick peek into the her space.
Su Ying on entering her space was met with a tremendous shock. The space has upgraded again but this time it was not the usual upgrade. The view in front of her was immensely different from before and the changes were quite obvious. In front of her was a duplex which she was quite familiar with in her previous life and for a moment she panicked thinking she had gone back to her world.
Calming down she realized she was still at the ancient era as before. In disbelief she wandered into the duplex only to be met with another surprise. In front of her was a room she was too familiar with. From the white walls to the surgical tools all were familiar to her. It turned out her surgical operating room had somehow appeared at her space here with everything intact as she left it. The only difference was there was no door that led to the exit as in her world showing that there was no way to go back if she wanted.
Looking around the room she felt nostalgic and stared for a while before going out. She could remember that the bombing incident had razed the building to ashes so seeing it appear here she was not worried that it would seem strange but rather curious on how it could happen. But she quickly recovered,she had transmigrated and even had a space so what could be more strange than this. Going to the lake area she wanted to see if it had upgraded too along with the other places and as expected she was not disappointed by the sight.
The once lake water has now transformed to a spring water. It was also bigger than the previous lake water and much cleaner. Squatting beside it she reached out to touch it only to be met with a cool sensation. The water surface was colourless and looked like it had undergone more purification methods than the previous one. With that she wondered if the effects will be more greater than previously and the changes it could cause. The lake water didn't show it changes immediately after consumption so she wondered if this one would turn out the same or have more significant changes.
Su Ying stood up and went into the medicine room to check on it. On the shelves there was another change again. The room seemed to have split into two with various items hanging on them. To her right side was the traditional medicine and tools she knew due to her knowledge in traditional medicine. On the other side were western medicine and tools she also knew like painkillers, anti inflammatory and antibiotic with cold medicine which she was familiar with. This medicine were indeed needed in this era where hospitals were rare.
Walking to the traditional side she noticed one particular shelf glowing with a faint silver light. Su Ying approached it and took it out to take a look at it's content. Opening the content inside the old looking box she was shocked again. It was a pair of sharp silver needles which she was familiar with. Trembling with excitement she picked the note hidden in it which said only a few words
"MUST BE USED TO DO GOOD".
Understanding the text she smiled. Looking at the silver needles in her hands she was so happy because this was her key to survive in this world. This were the legendary silver needles talked about by her mentor back in her world used for acupuncture. He had always regretted not seeing them before he died but was obsessed with them which was why he had thought her both acupuncture and western medicine. If he were here she was sure he would be so happy he might die of happiness.
In this era where there was no modern technology to treat illness, a doctor was like a god to them. Having a doctor was akin to having second life which showed how much doctor were valued here so with the silver needles in her hands any refined pills she was unstoppable. Dropping the content back at its place she concluded it had been an hour since she entered here so she exited the space.
Mentally calculating she noticed it was only five minutes she left in the real world. She stood up and headed outside because the kids should be done eating now and needed to be bathed. Letting out a yawn she arrived outside to see the kids preparing the water for their bathing themselves. She smiled at their independence before interrupting their actions
"Huh. Mother's babies are now independent that they're now preparing to bathe themselves without mother's help now".
The kids on hearing their mother words halted in their actions as they blushed furiously. It was not that they were against being bathed by their mother but because she seemed very tired. They wanted her to rest as they bathed themselves but was unexpectedly caught by her. They immediately replied
"You were tired so we wanted you to rest so we could bathe by ourselves"
Su Ying was taken aback by their thought. She didn't expect them to be so observant of her expression. Her heart ached and at the same time she felt a warm feeling in her heart. Her heart ached because she knew it was because of the original host that they had become so cautious and careful. She also felt warmth because the kids cared about her health and well being.
"Mother is happy that you both care about her but still I will be the one bathing you as of now. You're both still small and your hands doesn't have the strength to wash some parts clean so I'm doing the job now".
The both happily complied and let her do it. After through scrubbing from the two them she was done bathing them. They entered the house where she dried their bodies and dressed them. While cleaning their hair she noticed it was no longer yellowish as before but now turning darker. This showed that her meticulous care in feeding and nutrition was good. After bathing them she went and took her own bathe before they all retired to rest.
