"So… should we go back to the white orb?" Feng Fan asked.
He looked up and noticed that the cliff where the orb had been was gone, yet the orb itself remained, floating in midair.
"Didn't I hit that thing? How is it still there?" he muttered, puzzled.
"When we arrived, it wasn't there. I think you did move it, but it returned on its own," Qian Xiaoli said.
"Wait… does that mean this orb has a consciousness or something?" Feng Fan raised an eyebrow in surprise.
Qian Xiaoli gave him a flat look, as if he had just said something ridiculous. "Of course not. That's just a predetermined response. Do you really think relics with consciousness are as common as cabbages at the market? I've never even heard of one in the Black Turtle Continent."
Feng Fan scratched the back of his neck, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Let's just go. With the white orb, we'll win the competition without a doubt. Now that Hou Mengyao is out of the picture, I doubt anyone else will dare to try and steal it."
