"Master Chu, Old Master Shentu is here," a maid announced.
Shentu Chu paused, looking at himself in the mirror, comb in hand.
"Okay. I'll receive him," he said and dismissed the maid.
"What will come will eventually come," Shentu Chu combed his hair back and whistled a tune.
He fixed his tie in the mirror before stepping out, checked his watch, and popped something into his mouth.
When Shentu Chu entered the main hall, Old Master Shentu was already seated on the couch, cane in hand, wearing a nonchalant, arrogant expression.
"Grandpa," Shentu Chu greeted him with a smile and a slight bow.
But Old Master Shentu didn't say anything. He didn't even tell Shentu Chu to sit down, leaving him standing there with a smile. The old man ignored his presence as if he were an insignificant being.
Sitting down before an elder's approval was considered disrespectful.
