Chapter 1 - Is that how you Start

At the foot of a towering mountain shrouded by other mountain ranges and dense forests, a young man lay motionless. His chest barely rose, his breath so faint it seemed he had been dead for days. The scene was eerily quiet until, suddenly, the faint sound of a heartbeat broke the stillness. Moments later, his eyelids fluttered open, and his dark eyes cautiously took in his surroundings.

The young man felt disoriented, his senses heightened in this unfamiliar environment. Something about the air, the light, and even his own body felt wrong. Struggling to sit up, he looked down at himself, examining the form that seemed foreign yet familiar. His body was that of a young man, likely between the ages of eighteen and twenty, with a well-defined, muscular frame and the faint outline of six-pack abs.

A glimmer caught his eye, drawing his attention to a nearby pond. Crawling to its edge, he peered into the clear water and saw his reflection for the first time. Black hair with striking streaks of white at the front framed a handsome face with sharp jawlines and perfectly arched black eyebrows. His dark eyes, resembling galaxies filled with countless stars, seemed to draw him in as he stared at the reflection.

Suddenly, a sharp pain pierced his head. Instinctively, he clutched his head with his hands, groaning as a torrent of memories flooded his mind. These weren't his memories—or rather, they weren't entirely his. They belonged to someone else, someone whose body he now inhabited. Gradually, the truth dawned on him: he had been reborn in this world, occupying the body of a young man also named Taichi.

Taichi's own memories resurfaced. In his previous life, he had been an orphan who struggled with a debilitating illness that ultimately claimed his life at sixty. Despite his illness, he had lived a meaningful life, dedicating himself to charity work and helping other orphaned children. Relationships, however, had eluded him, as he feared burdening others with his condition. Now, he saw this second life as a gift from the heavens—a chance to live without the constraints of his past.

The memories of the previous Taichi, the original owner of this body, painted a bleak picture. He, too, had been an orphan, abandoned with nothing but a pendant engraved with his name. Despite his determination to find his parents, his journey ended tragically in these very mountains due to the same illness. However, in a strange twist of fate, the illness had vanished after his death, leaving the reborn Taichi in a healthy, robust body.

As Taichi pieced together the fragments of his new reality, he began to understand the world around him. This was a realm of cultivation, a place where immortals and even gods walked among mortals. The previous Taichi had been an ordinary human with no cultivation abilities, surviving purely by chance. Taichi shivered at the thought of how perilous this world could be for someone like him.

Surveying his surroundings, he realized he was on the southern continent of a vast world known as the DesolateWorldofImmortals. This world was divided into six continents: North, South, East, West, the central continent, and a mysterious land called the Chaos Land. The latter was said to be inhabited by immortals and demons, its location unknown to most. Separating the five main continents was the HolyMountainRange, an unforgiving and dangerous expanse that even saints hesitated to cross.

In this world, power was everything. Cultivation was divided into twelve realms: Body Building, Root Identification, Qi Refining, Qi Absorption, Qi Sea Formation, Soul Formation, Body Transformation, King/Queen, Saint, and Emperor. The Emperor stage itself was split into three sublevels: Emperor King/Queen, Emperor Saint, and Immortal Emperor. For over 100,000 years, no one had ascended beyond the Saint level due to the impure qi that plagued the world. Ancient texts spoke of realms beyond Emperor—Immortals and Gods—but such tales were dismissed as myths by most.

Taichi sighed deeply, standing at the foot of the Holy Mountain Range, which connected the southern and central continents. With no cultivation to his name, he felt like nothing more than prey for the wild beasts that roamed these lands. "I've just been reborn," he muttered to himself, "and all I wanted was a peaceful, simple life. But this world is anything but peaceful."

As he racked his brain for a way to escape this dangerous terrain, a sudden sound echoed in his mind.

"Ding!"

Startled, Taichi froze. A moment later, a mechanical voice spoke in his mind:

"Detected: Host successfully transmigrated to another world. Heavenly God Sect System initializing..."

Taichi's heart raced as the voice continued:

"System binding in progress... 1%... 10%... 30%... 60%... 90%... 100%. Binding successful."

He blinked in disbelief. A system? He had read countless novels in his previous life where protagonists were gifted systems after transmigrating or reincarnating. These systems often granted them unimaginable powers and opportunities. Could this be his turn?

The voice spoke again, confirming his hopes:

"Welcome, Host, to the Heavenly God Sect System. This system is designed to assist you in creating the strongest sect in the universe. Host will receive rewards by recruiting disciples with exceptional talent and completing system tasks."

Taichi's excitement was quickly replaced by doubt. "A sect? But I'm just a mortal—an orphan with no resources. How am I supposed to build a sect and recruit disciples?"

"Host, don't worry system will help you with creating sect and gaining recourses"

With a deep breath, Taichi stood tall, his eyes fixed on the daunting Holy Mountain Range ahead. His journey was just beginning, and though the path was fraught with danger, he was no stranger to hardship. If he could endure sixty years of illness and solitude in his previous life, he could surely survive—and thrive—in this new one.

"Let's see what this God Sect System can do," he murmured, a faint smile playing on his lips.
