Chapter 127 - Chapter 127: Talent's Might & Treatment.

Lucas, who was lying in the middle of the alley road, looked at Ilya and Tess, whose faces were covered with tears as they cried.

He appeared to be death's door and about meet the King of Hell, but in reality, he was fine and could regenerate with his bloodline.

He took the shot to awaken something hidden inside Ilya.

Looking extremely miserable, he lifted his hand toward Ilya and Tess's faces, as if he had already accepted his fate, and said, "Sor-sorry, maybe I won't be able to walk together with you both on this path called life. Maybe if fate works, we may meet someday. Bye Tess...lya." After speaking, he pretended to fall unconscious or dead.

Both Tess and Ilya's minds went blank as they saw the one they loved losing his life in front of them.

Tess began to break down, her eyes turning red with rage to kill the person who did this to Lucas.

Meanwhile, Ilya, even knowing that her skills might not be enough, tried her best to heal her beloved.

"No... you can't... die here... wait for me... I will surely cure you... wait for me. Just don't dieeee," said as became from using her skills and consuming all her mana. Her nose started bleeding, and just before anyone could stop her, a bright light emerged from her body, enveloping both her and Lucas.

The people standing beside them were both shocked and surprised to witness such phenomena happening right before their eyes.

The girl, who was on the verge of losing consciousness, was radiating power rivaling a Peak Tier 0 Healer.

Another surprising aspect was that the man they thought might die within seconds was rapidly healing before their very eyes.

His wounds began to heal, and the color of his skin started to regain its glow, while Ilya, the source of this commotion, was levitating in front of Lucas, who was now on the ground in Tess's lap.

She too fell to the ground as her entire body felt weak, as though something had been squeezed out of her.

She looked at Lucas, who was opening his eyes, and then at Ilya, who had fallen asleep, assured that the one she wished to save was now alive and out of danger.

'I did it. Now there should be no one comparable to Ilya in healing,' Lucas thought, as he had faked his death to encourage her inner strength to push her limits to heal him.

Though it was risky, as he came dangerously close to death, he survived and managed to awaken the only Healing-type talent of S rank in DC-23 city. His talent allowed him to see the dormant potential within Ilya when he first met her.

He did not expect that her talent could even reach SSS rank if the correct conditions were met.

However, to unlock her talent, , he had to push her to her limits, which he initially thought he could do in a dungeon. But when given such an opportunity, Lucas could not let it pass.

So, he took the fifty-fifty chance and succeeded brilliantly.

While there was a joyous atmosphere among Tess, Lucas, and Ilya.

Here we can see someone running away from the site where the fight occurred just now.

Yes, it was Evan who was rushing away to avoid getting caught. He initially planned to finish Lucas today, but as Tess intervened in the battle, he had to withdraw despite the perfect opportunity to kill him.

However, the opponent was truly destined, and who knows how many life-saving events may occur to help him survive the attack. He may have surely gotten healed from the wounds inflicted by someone from Ilya.

At this moment, Evan was on his bonded Phantom, Zephoros, which was running straight toward his house.

Evan's body bore many wounds from the arrows of Tess, who was in a rage over Lucas state of body.

What he didn't expect was that she would go to such lengths to unleash such a skill in public to kill him.

"These destined ones are truly a pain, like leeches leeching off others to live their lives. And when they get to a higher level, they don't care about the one who saved them," Evan cursed in his mind as he was rushing away to his house.

His horse attracted attention as people's eyes were set on the dashing and imposing undead horse running through the city streets.

When he found that he was near his house, he released the skill to avoid attracting more attention.

He entered building where his apartment was and rushed to his floor, leaving some blood on the floor might problems later on.

But it wasn't time to think about that.

He unlocked his door and entered inside to avoid being seen his neighbors.

He then closed the door behind him and turned on the lights in his room.

He went to bathroom and took out the first aid box to administer some first aid to himself.

After removing his clothes, which were bloodied in many areas due to wounds caused by Tess's skill.

He first cleaned the wounded areas and medicine to them. Then he covered them with cotton and tape to heal over time.

Perhaps his talent was really going to help him here too.

As several messages popped up front of him, making him to see such a thing happening.

His body suddenly felt very weak as all of his mana was depleted in. He found that even his eyelids were shaking, and his vision was becoming blurry and dizzy over time.

Fortunately, he was already beside his bed and fell straight onto it, falling asleep immediately after this happened.

The miracle performed by his Talent just now was something no one could believe.

The wounds beneath the bandages had healed significantly, with only a few cuts and minor injuries remaining, which were previously much larger. Even though it was not visible, they were closing up very quickly.

Evan's body was continuously adjusting and working hard to heal all of the wounds just now.

However, he was unaware of this, as the talent host was now in full sleep mode.

As the night passed and the day reigned supreme, Evan began to wake up from his sleep.

He felt quite refreshed, as if a huge pain had rushed out of his body, but what he found was bandages and tape over his body, which shocked him a little.

He remembered what happened last night.

The fight with Lucas indicated that if he gave him more time to grow stronger, he would be the first to go down before doing anything.

So, what he must do right now is increase his level and take every possible chance to grow beyond Lucas and kill him quickly.

To achieve that, he relied on his most trustworthy source, the Vial of Unknown.

He had to take it at Level 50.

He confident that with its contents, he could rival anyone in that tier.

Evan decided to head towards the dungeon to hunt monsters and reach Level 50 quickly, but first, he needed to buy some supplies.

He would try to use all his resources to grow stronger as he had no other options left after seeing the growth of Lucas.

After having a simple breakfast, he discarded his blood-stained clothes and put on some decent, good-looking ones. He then set out for the association, but something significant occurred outside his room hallway.

As a huge amount of people were crowding over one area to watch something.

What is happening now? Is he in another trouble, or is something else unfolding here?
