Normally, Luis would relax and take a breather after a fight ended, but the aura flowing through his body tensed him up. It provided him with strength, and Luis still hadn't realized the aura was flowing through his entire body. Because of that, he wasn't able to calm down and stayed tensed up.
Luis stared in the direction where the Sand Strikers fled, clenching the stick in his hand.
Then Luis felt something press down on his right shoulder. He instantly turned around, swinging the stick with all his might at whatever was behind him.
However, his hand was completely stopped, not moving in the slightest.
"You should relax, Luis."
Hearing the voice, Luis realized it was his dad holding his hand. Before he could speak, though, his dad poured a red liquid down his mouth from a vial.
"Drink up, kiddo."
Luis hadn't noticed last time when fighting the golems, since he was losing consciousness when Sera gave him the vial, but the liquid brought new life into him. Luis wanted more of it, he wanted more of that feeling it felt addicting.
As soon as the vial was finished, Noah put it in the small bag on his waist while asking, "Do you notice anything different?"
Luis looked down at his body, noticing that his wounds were closed up and his body didn't hurt anymore. "It doesn't hurt, and I feel more energized."
Noah nodded. "That's true, but do you notice anything else?"
Luis thought about it again. He felt energized and wasn't in pain anymore, but he couldn't notice anything else. After a short pause, he replied in a curious tone, "I don't get it. I don't notice anything different."
Noah chuckled. "You should focus on your aura. You're gonna run out of aura at this rate."
Luis was surprised for a moment at what his dad was saying, but after he focused on his aura, he noticed that it was flowing all throughout his body. Luis was surprised at this because his aura wouldn't move unless he willed it, but now it felt like it was naturally flowing through his body.
It felt like a stream of water that flowed in circles throughout his body.
Luis stood still, closing his eyes. He first deactivated his blessings because he realized they were still activated. He also realized that the aura being used by the blessings flowed differently.
When he deactivated the Lynx blessing, the aura moving in his body slowed a tiny amount. It started going the same speed as the rest of his aura that was not used by blessings.
When he deactivated the Golem blessing, the streams of aura in his body moved away from his skin, going a few millimeters inside.
The color of the auras of the blessings changed as well. The aura in the Golem blessing changed from a light brownish color to a see through white. The same happened with the yellow Lynx blessing.
Luis also noticed something else. As the aura circulated around his body, it would sometimes come out of the streams of aura that flowed throughout his body and seep out of his body.
Luis was slowly losing aura from every part of his body as it left the stream and flowed out.
Luis then focused on putting the aura back at the upper middle part of his chest. To Luis's surprise, the aura flowed back very easily he didn't have to will it as much as before.
Then Luis tried moving his aura again, and it flowed just as well as it did before. When he willed it to flow through his body like he had just experienced, it did that. And when he focused aura on a specific body part, some of the aura flowing in other parts of his body would go into that body part, while the rest kept flowing through his body.
After testing how his aura moved much more easily now, Luis sent it back into his upper middle chest and slowly opened his eyes.
Noah, sensing that Luis wasn't using aura anymore, smiled and asked, "So, do you understand what I meant now?"
Luis nodded, still in awe at how easily his aura was moving. "I don't understand why it's moving so easily now. I have been practicing, but now it's like the aura's listening to me more."
"You're right, because that is what's happening. Your body's become accustomed to aura."
"Accustomed?"
"Yep, accustomed. When you become an aura user, the more you use aura, the more your body gets used to it. It starts accepting the aura as a natural part of your body. That's the main key needed to reach the advanced tier."
Luis then asked in a curious tone, "But then why did no one tell me I just needed to use aura more often to get used to it, and that slowly it would become a part of my body?"
Noah nodded in understanding. "There's actually history behind that. Our clan researched this, and many other places also researched this and had this theory, which they implemented. The theory was that when a person at the adept stage knows that the main way to reach the advanced stage is to just continuously use aura, it becomes harder for them to reach the next tier. Them constantly thinking about making the aura a part of their body creates a mental barrier."
"But when a person just practices and doesn't focus on trying to make the aura a part of their body, their mind and body will start to adjust on their own until they can finally reach the next stage."
"In your case, this happened because your body sensed you needing the aura in the fight. Without the mental weight of controlling it, your body moved the aura naturally, accepting it as a good thing because it helped you fight easier. That's why it was better to focus just on practical training and practicing."
"Then if I knew about this, it would have just been harder for me to reach the next tier?"
"Yep. If you had known, it would have been harder not impossible, though. That's why aura users who haven't reached the advanced stage aren't told about this. And if they find out, you just have to make them believe they heard a lie. It's easier to advance when you reach it naturally.
"Luis, your control is already good enough. And now that your body naturally accepts aura, you can easily reach the next stage."
Luis nodded back with a smile on his face because he could finally do it. All the training wasn't in vain. The wall was gone. He could reach the next stage.
