Chapter 1 - E1

To clarify:

Toji will not have overpowered domains or techniques.

Toji will only use cursed energy for three things: healing himself (this will only be temporary, as it will be removed at the beginning of the second season, and its use will be minimal, almost nonexistent).

Toji will need to unlock a seal on his shoulder, where his cursed inventory will be stored, but he will be weakened afterward.

I plan to create various characters based on those from JJK and incorporate them here.

If you don't like the story, don't rate the book—just drop it and move on. Let others have the chance to read and enjoy it.

This is an old work, one of the first I ever did. My current works are much better. This one comes from my beginnings, so I won't change anything.

I've improved a lot as an author and significantly enhanced my writing skills. So by the start of season 2, everything will make more sense.

"I never knew how the hell I ended up here," thought a five-year-old boy with black hair and a scar that stretched from his lower lip to his upper lip. He was wearing tattered clothes: white sandals, blue pants torn at the knees with multiple scratches and cuts, and a dirty, worn-out white T-shirt that showed his defined body, though slightly undernourished.

If you're wondering why the boy thought this, it's quite simple. He was in a ruined orphanage that looked more like a church. He was sitting under a tree in the courtyard with a deeply depressed and devastated expression.

"My life... no, it couldn't have been like this. How the hell did I end up here?" the boy thought, frustration clearly visible on his face as he clenched his fists, which, curiously, were far too strong for someone his age.

He struck the ground and looked down in frustration, wondering how he had ended up in that place.

"My life was never bad. In fact, I had so much: love, parents, a great home, and a substantial inheritance thanks to my father's company. But the death of my parents devastated me and almost destroyed me, not only physically but also my integrity. Unfortunately, those whom my parents considered their best friends, along with lifelong allies, conspired against them and eliminated them, including me."

As he sank deeper into his thoughts, a kind, elderly voice echoed from the clearing, calling him to dinner.

"Toji, come on, it's time to eat," said a woman of at least 60 years, dressed as a nun, with a hint of concern in her voice.

Hearing his name on her lips, he got up as if nothing had happened, though inside, he was dying to know who had reincarnated him into a world like this, and why they had done so.

Curiously, his name was Toji Zenin, the same as his favorite character from the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. But that wasn't the important part; the important part was that he also looked like Toji, and had the celestial restriction that came with him, including some strange tattoos on his body that, if they were what he thought, would be the stuff of a drug addict's dreams.

Upon reaching the matron, he smiled and spoke.

"What are we having today?" he asked with a cocky and confident voice, while still showing courtesy to the woman he considered a grandmother.

"Chicken and rice with some juice," replied the woman as she bent down and messed up his hair, always wild and rebellious, just as she knew it.

Deep down, Toji sighed in relief. 'You know, eating this food may be normal for you, but for someone who's been in an orphanage that serves nothing but lentils and a bit of rice for the three days I've been in this body, this is paradise.'

Walking with the matron and passing through the door to the courtyard, they reached a large rectangular table where about 25 boys and girls were seated. Some looked at him with fear, others with mockery.

"Late again, Toji!" exclaimed a boy with spiky black hair, wearing a torn red jacket and blue shorts.

"Go to hell, you noisy bastard," Toji replied with a cheeky smile as he sat down next to the black-haired boy who had saved him a seat.

"Yesterday I heard you're finally going to be adopted, Amori, is that true?" Toji asked with a satisfied smile while looking at his food.

'During the time I've been here, Amori has been the only one who tolerates my cocky and somewhat arrogant personality. He's a loud jokester, and that's made our friendship perfect,' Toji thought.

Amori, who was enjoying his food, smiled with a mix of happiness and sadness. "Yeah, my new parents will pick me up tomorrow. It hurts because I don't want to separate from you, my best friend," said Amori with a melancholic smile while watching Toji eat calmly.

"It's better than being stuck in a place like this, so you should be happy. But forget about that; you'll have time to cry later," Toji said, having grown fond of the boy in the short time they'd been together.

Amori smiled, relieved that his friend seemed to be in a good mood.

The conversation between Toji and Amori continued as usual until the matron arrived with a mysterious girl.

My senses, somewhat refined but advanced thanks to my "Celestial Restriction," activated when I turned to look at the girl who was observing me with intrigued eyes.

The girl had pale reddish hair, tired eyes, and yellow pupils adorned with black rings. She looked at me with a mixture of intrigue and mystery, though her soft, somewhat undernourished face remained expressionless. Despite this, she was beautiful to most of the children.

The other kids blushed when looking at her, though some watched with mockery and ill intentions.

"Children, her name is Makima and she'll be staying with us for a while," announced the matron with her usual friendly smile.

However, this didn't seem to matter to Makima, who continued to stare at me intensely. Her gaze lingered much longer than expected before she sat at the end of the table next to a girl with black hair.

The black-haired girl became shy in front of the cold Makima and withdrew, no doubt due to the sensations she surely felt like everyone else her age.

The younger children in the room blushed as they watched her. Her presence emanated a strange sense of obedience as if one wished to follow her orders. Additionally, her posture was surprisingly elegant for her young age, and the intense sensation she triggered was clearly desire. Though I never knew much about desire, I was sure that's what I was feeling from how the temperature in my body rose.

But mostly, what I felt for her was utter indifference. Though her aura was terribly dangerous, she seemed defenseless. And though she seemed familiar from somewhere, I didn't know where. However, I didn't care.

Getting up from my seat, I walked away with my noisy friend, who was also blushing and almost drooling over Makima's image. I decided to grab him by the shirt and pull him along with me; I didn't want him getting attached to this girl or doing something crazy because of her.

From this body's memories, I know this airhead is a total Don Juan, hopping from girl to girl at such a young age. Yeah, he'll surely break many hearts when he grows up, if he gets rid of that hairstyle that makes him look like a damn hedgehog.

The day passed normally until night came, and it was time to sleep.

"I need to pee," I thought, getting up from my futon. I walked through the dilapidated halls of the church, and as I passed near the courtyard, I found an impactful and curious scene.

Makima was being beaten?! "What the hell?" Looking through the door leading to the courtyard, I saw five boys, at least 10 years old, looking at her with mocking and somewhat lustful expressions.

Without thinking, I ran in front of her, appearing before the bullies in the blink of an eye.

Seeing the injured and worn-out figure of the girl, I spoke with indifference and coldness. "You're too big to be doing this, pieces of trash," I said with a frosty tone, leaving the boys confused.

The boys in front of me were the typical bullies you'd find anywhere. Their names were Rei, Takegawa, Miyoshi, and the other two... I don't even remember their names; to me, they were just disposable extras."

Snapping out of my thoughts, I saw one of the boys, the one called Miyoshi, smirk mockingly.

"Trash, bastard, get lost. This isn't your business," Miyoshi said with a mocking grin as he took a step forward. The other four followed him, laughing stupidly and trying to seem intimidating because of their numerical superiority. As always, the weak tend to travel in packs.

Laughing mockingly and with confidence, I looked each of them in the eyes and spoke with a cold gaze. "Go to hell, brother," I said, preparing to fight.

Makima, who had been watching from behind the boy defending her, was shocked. She couldn't sense any energy or presence from him, but seeing him protect her made her heartbeat for the first time since she saw her parents die and discovered she was a demon. Up until now, he was the only one who had shown her any kindness.

Takegawa quickly approached Toji from his left and threw a punch at his face.

But what he didn't anticipate was that Toji would dodge his punch with surprising fluidity, and with a quick move, he delivered a blow to Takegawa's stomach, knocking the air out of him and completely taking him out of the fight.

Seeing this, the others who were about to attack froze, their faces filled with shock.

Toji simply smiled, placing his foot on Takegawa's head, who was lying on the ground, while showing a defiant smile.

"I'M TOJI ZENIN!! BASTARDS!!" Toji shouted his name with all his might.

His goal was to attract the attention of the matron and the other children from the orphanage, trying to get out of this situation with the least number of casualties possible, obviously on his side.

A minute after his shout, which stunned the bullies, the matron arrived with a frightened and worried expression. Seeing Toji stepping on Takegawa's head and Makima injured behind him, and realizing that the older boys were in an attacking position, she immediately knew what was going on.

"Stop this right now!" the matron exclaimed, looking at the boys angrily and disappointed.

The little bullies stopped and turned to the matron with fearful looks, knowing they could not escape or justify themselves.

(Two days later)

In those two days, interesting things had happened. Makima had become attached to me, enjoying being by my side, and since I didn't care, I let her. I simply saw her as a little sister who needed care and head pats, which was quite unusual for me. But seeing her relax, I left her alone. Also, I had said goodbye to Amori, who cried like an endless pit after our separation. The last thing that happened was that some men in suits came to adopt Makima.

She, like a good little sister, didn't want to separate from me, but in the end, they adopted her, which didn't matter to me.

Arriving at the bathroom, I looked at my three tattoos in the mirror and sighed.

One was of a strange creature resembling a worm, located on my left shoulder, coiled like a whirlpool. It was Toji's inventory curse.

The other two were kanji characters that said "Heaven" and "Cursed Energy." I recognized them because I had seen them clearly in the Jujutsu Kaisen series, but still, Toji didn't have Cursed Energy; what he had was his "Celestial Restriction," which granted him his inhuman qualities, but he didn't possess any Cursed Energy.

I sighed deeply after peeing and headed to the garden, sitting under a tree to lazily nap.

Suddenly, I felt someone hugging me like a koala and sitting on my lap. Though it irritated me at first, once I knew who it was, I just sighed.

Makima wasn't someone who spoke much, but she knew that she cared for this boy. He protected her without asking for anything in return and was always kind to her, showing that he truly cared.

"You're annoying, you know?" Toji said irritably.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Makima replied calmly.

"It's annoying that you're on top of me. Are you a tick or something?" Toji repeated, showing his irritation.

At this, Makima just pouted.

'If you've never received love in your life, you'll cling to the first person who shows you even a little of it, whether it's love, protection, care, or at least some minimum of importance,' Toji thought, reflecting on the situation. The image of Makima now made sense to him: a soul in need of affection, but one that had been neglected and used to satisfy others' desires.

His mind replayed the interaction they had after the incident.

[Flashback]

Toji watched the girl in what seemed to be the church infirmary.

With a sigh, he decided it had been enough and stood up from the chair, while a matron took care of Makima.

Just as he was about to leave the room, he suddenly heard a voice.

"Wait, don't go," Makima said, desperate for the first time since he had known her. Toji stopped, waiting for her words.

Yawning and seeing that Makima seemed reluctant to speak, he decided to take the initiative.

"Don't thank me, I just protected a defenseless girl, but that doesn't mean I like you. Remember, in this orphanage, there are idiots, I only protected you because there was no other reason," Toji said calmly.

Softly, she murmured a "Thank you" for the advice and then looked at him with some desperation and loneliness, something he knew well.

With that look, she asked him: "You're alone, right?"

For a moment, Makima's voice seemed more mature and serene, as if she could see through him, through his being.

However, Toji responded with a voice incredibly softer than expected: "Yes," surprising even the nun who was tending to Makima, both because of the question and his tone.

She nodded and then got up from the bed, allowed by the nun, and gently hugged him tightly.

"You won't be alone anymore," she said.

[End of Flashback]

"Maybe that's why I haven't rejected her completely," Toji thought in his head.

They seemed like real siblings, though it seemed incredible that they had only known each other for two days.

Sighing again, Toji gently patted Makima's hair until she fell asleep.

The matron, who was watching them from the window of the dining room, smiled. She knew that these two had become inseparable in the short time of two days, though she didn't know why, she felt that something bad was going to happen between them.

The door of the orphanage was knocked on repeatedly. The matron opened the door and sprayed blue gas everywhere as men with gas masks entered and headed to the courtyard.

The blue gas quickly filled the area. Toji woke up from his nap but was surprised to see a white glow through a door and blue gas flooding the place.

Makima, who was in his lap, inhaled some of the gas and fell unconscious instantly.

Toji stood up with Makima in his arms, but he was surprised to see the matron unconscious and the men entering.

In an instant, the unexpected happened: they shot him in the chest and neck, and he fell to his knees with a look of surprise on his face.

"What the hell?" was the last thing he thought before they took Makima from his arms and threw him against a tree.

Here is the translation of the text into English:

In his mind, he was standing in a dark place where the sound of pulses dominated, accompanied by a chilling cold.

"Where am I?" Toji spoke aloud, with utmost caution. Receiving no answer, he sighed to himself and began walking when a burst of blue energy erupted from his body, enveloping him completely.

Strange chains that hadn't been there before bound his body and shattered entirely when the rebellious blue energy destroyed them and spread throughout the area furiously, like a full-fledged tornado, while the ground cracked open.

"Cursed Energy," was all he thought before a pain struck his body, causing him to fall unconscious.

When he regained consciousness, he found himself immersed in a desolate landscape.

The church lay in ruins, consumed by flames, while the bodies of the matron and the children were scattered, already charred and devoured by the fire.

Toji observed the devastation with a mixture of indifference and a hint of pain for the lives lost. However, the sight of his grandmother's figure amidst the flames deeply moved him. Not out of empathy, but because of how the woman seemed to love life and its fruits more than anything—definitely, a woman who didn't deserve to die.
