Max tore through the sky like a comet, slicing through drifting clouds as if they were paper. The chill wind stung his skin, and the vast skies of the Lost Continent stretched endlessly before him.
But he couldn't afford to enjoy the view.
Not when death was snapping at his heels.
His Three-Dimensional Body pulsed with warning—energy signatures, dozens of them, fast and closing in.
The demons. And the humans.
'Already?!' Max grit his teeth. They were gaining. Shadows in the clouds, streaks of energy burning across the sky behind him.
And not far behind the demons… the humans.
Max's eyes narrowed.
'They're trailing just behind the demons… not even trying to overtake them. Cowards.'
His disgust flared.
'So much for "we'll protect you," huh?'
Then—
Red-hot flames burst from his back, twisting into two blazing wings of pure fire.
