Chapter 15 - Chapter 11: What Did I Just Walk Into?

Sero was walking in an unknown place. He looked around the place, which was quite similar to the hell he was in some time ago (what is even going on), however instead of it being the hell-like atmosphere with scorching sun, it was instead foggy and cloudy with it being much cooler than that place. As Sero walked around the place, he noticed many weird things, such as the sky seeming to glitch, the road becoming much more disoriented, and the air suddenly feeling off, as if it shouldn't even exist.

Sero suddenly realized he was no longer in that weird world, but now somewhere else. He did not notice, as he felt like he was in a trance before he got here. He looked around the place, noticing that he was in a large, dark hallway with ginormous pillars going all the way up to what Sero predicted was the roof, as the thing was so high up he couldn't see anything. Everything was made of what seemed like blue stone, however when Sero touched the wall, he immediately retracted, as it felt like the sorrows of trillions of beings, however Sero could not exactly tell which ones. Some seemed like defenseless ants, while others felt like they were from another dimension entirely.

Sero headed down the hallway, which had an extremely long carpet leading somewhere, as there was nowhere else for him to go except forward as behind him was another wall. As Sero went down the hallway, he noticed some paintings on the walls. It showed of people being massacred, enslaved, or tortured, however the most intriguing ones were the ones with a black figure glitching in real life. Some paintings that featured the glitched being showed him toying with what seemed to be tiny little...gods?

"No," Sero thought. "It doesn't feel like gods. It feels like they are beings that have passed the realm of gods and into something much much more." (wait what).

But then Sero wondered if the god-like beings were that strong, why were they being toyed by this unknown entity? Another painting showed the glitch creating something. When Sero looked closer, it seemed to be making multiple webs from its hands.

As Sero kept observing these paintings, he suddenly bonked headfirst into something hard (better watch where them legs take you buddy). When he looked up, he noticed that there were massive stone doors reaching all the way to who knows what. Of course, Sero tried to open it, as why wouldn't he be? However, even though Sero tried as hard as he could, the doors would not budge at all as they weighed likely over whatever Sero could push. As Sero was about to give up, the doors suddenly started to open (basically just think of all those slow opening massive stone doors in novels), smoke releasing from the entrance.

As soon as Sero entered, he instantly felt like some ominous presence was watching him closely. The feeling sent chills down his spine, however he could not find the source of the presence as the room was covered in a thick fog as well as having basically no light in the room. Surprisingly though, the place gave Sero deja vu (same thing here), as he had a strong feeling that he had been in this room before.

Sero kept on walking towards the center of the room, however it took him some time as the room was unusually large. Sero finally noticed that there was something amongst all the fog, however when he tried to head over there, he suddenly came to a halt, feeling as if his entire body has decided to stop working and turn into stone. He tried desperately to move his limbs, however no amount of attempts did anything to help.

As he kept trying to move, he noticed that something in the fog was starting to move. It rose up, as if it had just been sitting down on a chair and advanced towards Sero. Sero panicked (like any sane person would do when they're stuck and a random stranger walks up to them), trying to move away from the creature approaching, however he could do nothing.

The thing approaching suddenly stopped in the middle, seeming to watch Sero struggling to run away. Sero then barely managed to take a look at what the entity looked like, as it was still extremely foggy in the room. The figure was pitch black, however it seemed to be...glitching? It also had glowing white eyes, and he could also feel the immense amount of power that it had. A power beyond anything he had ever encountered. He also felt that it seemed to be...almost happy (now wtf is this even going to Mr. Author)? It then disappeared in front of Sero's very eyes, as if it had never been there in the first place.

Sero finally was able to move again, and before he could sprint off, he could feel another ominous presence behind him. Sero turned around and saw that the heavy fog had now cleared, however now he could see the whole room. It was a room made from stone, however this time the stone was grey, not blue. The room was dimly lit with torches with blue flames on the walls, and at the other side of the room was a stone throne with various ancient markings that Sero did not know. There were pillars around the room as well, some being connected to the wall while others being seen everywhere. There was a carpet leading to the throne, in which no pillar came onto it. The carpet was bright red with a yellow border, which stood out compared to the rest of the room (which basically translates to the room being grey and uncolorful, plus the designers had literally no taste when designing any of this. Like why are there pillars everywhere?! I know it is a big room, but still it does not look good at all).

But the most disturbing part was not the weird room, but how there was a mystical blue light coming from again, who knows what, and the light was shining on the throne. On the throne was a hooded being with a black cloak. It had six enormous black wings on each side, and it was in a position where one might think that they were dozing off, however Sero could feel that it was not. It also had a humongous longsword with a pitch black blade, grey handle, and a weirdly shaped guard. The guard was silver and had a curve at each end that turned into a circle and also had a blood-red gemstone in the middle of the guard. The angel-like figure also emitted a blackish purple aura, almost as if it was covered by the night sky.

As Sero tried to run away, the feeling of being still came back, and then Sero could not move once more. Then he suddenly asked the figure, "Who are you?"

He heard a deep but somber voice, answering, "I am an angel."

"What do you mean you're an angel?" Sero questioned it.

"A fallen one."

A chill went down Sero's spine as he started to recognize the angel that might be in front of him.
