When Aria turned five her grandmother told her that their family has never been blessed with a mate and not having a mate doesn't mean they won't find love.

Aria felt uneasy by his silence and wondered if it was the right moment to use the techniques, Hailey has taught her.
Taking a deep breath, Aria stepped closer and closed her eyes as she brushed her lips against Tristan's.
Tristan stiffened when he felt her lips on his and without thinking, he immediately pushed her away.
Seeing the angry look on his face, Aria felt like it was all over; she was definitely going to be killed now. 
But Tristan expression was shadowed by more than anger. How had she gotten so close without him sensing her? And why--why was his heart racing like this?

Aria was hesitant when Hailey asked her to speak to Damien before the wedding, but her friend's persistence made her say yes.


Hailey led Aria to her father's study and said, "I will go get him."


"But why does he want to see me?" Aria asked before Hailey could leave.


Hailey sighed and said, "Didn't you say you are Tristan's representative? If you can convince him that you can set up a meeting between him and Tristan, then he will be happy."


Aria sighed and nodded, "I will do it."


Hailey smiled and said, "Stay here while I call him."


After Hailey left, Aria's eyes roamed round the study. It was actually no different from a normal office. Her eyes landed on the photo frame on the desk.


Aria picked up the frame and saw that it was a picture of young Hailey in her father's arms and her brother standing beside her.
