"I thought I'd get a surprise call from you right away, but I ended up waiting for an hour. I almost called the flower shop to confirm if they actually delivered the flowers to you."
Laurent couldn't help but laugh at his somewhat resentful tone.
"By the way, I guess I should thank Bert. Thanks to him, I got to enjoy the treatment of being pursued by you."
