Dave raised his hand and pulled her into his embrace,
"Alright, if you don't want to do it, we won't. I'll just wait and see what tricks he'll come up with."
If it were before, Dave would have certainly gone after Bert to settle things as he had suggested earlier. However, after winning back Laurent and their daughter, his mindset had become much calmer, and he had become more approachable in his interactions with others.
He no longer acted as ruthlessly as before, or did anything risky. He didn't push people away, and he no longer had that cold, distant attitude.
The media, in particular, had felt this change the most.
In the past, getting an interview with Dave was already quite difficult. When they did manage to get one, he would put on an indifferent demeanor, and with just three sentences, he could freeze or stifle the reporter's questions, making many journalists shy away from approaching him.
