Seeing the sudden appearance of Fire Lizard King Morik in the sky, Richard felt a surge of excitement in his heart.
Morik had finally returned; if he hadn't, the war in the Crimson Sun World would have ended.
"Heskhan, go call all the miners up from below, and do it quickly," Richard commanded loudly.
Heskhan was taken aback upon hearing this order.
He trembled, "M-Master, you must not let the workers below know that His Majesty Morik has returned. They will riot!"
"Riot?" A cruel smile flickered across Richard's face. "Trust me, Heskhan. They won't riot. Hurry up and bring them out."
Seeing Richard so resolute, Heskhan could only tremble as he sat in the mine cart to notify the miners underground.
Being the supervisor of the mining area was not without its costs; the Soul Contract he signed with Richard had quite strict terms. If he disobeyed Richard's orders, Richard could shatter his soul with just a thought.
"By the way, take this."
Richard seemed to remember something, and in a flash, he appeared beside Heskhan, pulling a scroll from his pocket.
"This is a Short-Range Space Warping Scroll. Tear it open, and it will teleport you to my side. Be careful; there might be some fanatics among those Fire Lizards down there, don't get yourself killed."
Heskhan gratefully accepted the scroll, feeling that his loyalty had not been in vain; Master Richard still thought of him.
"Yes, Master. I will be careful."
In the sky, the imposing and domineering Morik immediately drew the attention of all beings in the Crimson Sun World.
Whether they were Wizards or Fire Lizards, all eyes were now on this World Master who had disappeared for thirty years.
In the mountains of the Minal Empire, the tunnels of the Morik Empire, the islands over the sea of lava… countless Fire Lizards watched their returning king, tears streaming down their faces.
After thirty years, their king had finally come back! But in the next moment, a massive and intricate Magic Array emerged from the void, and two Spatial Rifts appeared right in front of Morik, as the Frost Grand Wizard and Hellfire Grand Wizard simultaneously descended onto the battlefield.
"Wizard! I want to see what tricks you have up your sleeve this time!"
Upon seeing the Hellfire Grand Wizard appear, Morik's body suddenly radiated intense heat. He raised his hand, and a light spear materialized in his grasp, its terrifying power causing the very space around it to tremble, with tiny Spatial Rifts flickering around the spear.
Compared to Minal, Morik's application of his own strength had become much more mature. The same technique that Minal struggled with was effortless for Morik.
"Die!"
The light spear was thrown, and its dreadful power instantly tore apart the space ahead. However, as the spear vanished into the void, a look of surprise crossed the Hellfire Grand Wizard's face.
"In just thirty years, you've grasped some spatial rules. Impressive, very impressive."
A menacing Spatial Rift suddenly appeared before the Hellfire Grand Wizard, and behind the rift was the terrifying light spear.
"But I am not your teacher; your shallow application of the rules does not earn my praise."
The Hellfire Grand Wizard remained unfazed, slightly moving his staff made of melted bones, causing the terrifying light spear to momentarily halt in the void. In that instant, the Hellfire Grand Wizard calmly evaded the spear.
The spear streaked across the sky like a meteor, ultimately striking the world's edge, exploding into a dazzling light, reminiscent of the third sun that fell with Linksa's death, now rising anew.
With one attack failing, Morik knew he had no further chances to strike.
In the blink of an eye, the massive Magic Array beside him had begun to activate. This giant Magic Array had taken two Great Wizards twenty years to complete, and its effects were naturally terrifying.
At the moment of activation, the space around Morik suddenly froze, and his aura rapidly weakened.
This Magic Array had actually isolated the World Power that the world bestowed upon Morik; although it was only temporary, a World Master without the support of World Power was like a mad dog with its teeth pulled out—no matter how fiercely it barked, it was only headed for death.
"Ha ha ha, I haven't forgotten you all these years."
The Hellfire Grand Wizard cackled, then opened a Spatial Rift, pulling out a crystal ball.
The crystal ball seemed to seal something within, with countless mysterious runes flickering in and out of view. The moment it appeared, the magical energy in the entire sky seemed to flow toward it like rivers returning to the sea.
An even larger Magic Array rapidly expanded around the crystal ball, quickly covering half the sky.
But Morik's expression remained unchanged; his aura was still overwhelming, and the light surrounding him was so bright it nearly overshadowed the sun in the sky.
He recalled scenes from many years ago, when there were no "Liberators," and the entire Crimson Sun World was filled only with dragons and their slaves, and he had just come of age.
The battles between dragons triggered volcanic eruptions, and red-hot lava spewed forth from the volcano, instantly engulfing his home. His parents and wife all perished in this "natural disaster," and the only survivor was the egg his wife held in her arms.
It was also during this "natural disaster" that he obtained the thing that would change his life and the future of the Fire Lizard clan.
His talent had not been particularly good; before this disaster, he hadn't even awakened Dragon Blood.
But after the disaster, he found a peculiar Fire Elemental Gem in the lava. The Fire Elemental Gem looked like a test tube, and when he opened it, a drop of crimson blood flowed out and entered his body.
This drop of blood changed his body and his fate. From that moment on, his power began to soar—level one, level two, level three; his evolution accelerated rapidly.
Ultimately, he became the first World Master of the Fire Lizard clan, thus beginning the rebellion against the dragons.
However, after he became a level five World Master, the effects of that drop of blood seemed to fade away.
Until he spent thirty years in that pitch-black space filled with terrifying entities, living through the death of his brothers and the inner torment of the Fire Lizard clan's tragedy.
In these thirty years, he constantly thought about taking revenge on the Wizards, and that drop of blood revived once more in this extreme belief.
It was then he realized that it wasn't that the blood had lost its effect, but rather that after overthrowing the dragons, he no longer possessed that kind of unwavering conviction.
Morik silently said, "My brothers, come back to help me."
In the next moment, the Hellfire Grand Wizard's expression suddenly changed.
"Frost, prepare the Sealing Art!"
He saw a golden shadow emerging from Morik, who was trapped in the center of the Magic Array, and the shadow's appearance was strikingly similar to the fallen Fire Lizard King Linksa.
No, it wasn't just similar; this golden figure was clearly younger than Linksa.
"Brother, I'm here to help you."
The golden figure, as if truly Linksa who had died, raised his arms and slammed them down heavily. The space around Morik, which had been frozen by the Magic Array, instantly shattered.
Seeing this scene, the Hellfire Grand Wizard's gaze shifted from shock to fervor, and he shouted to the Frost Grand Wizard:
"A World Master-level Real Illusion! Excellent, very good! Frost, hold him off for a moment!"
The Hellfire Grand Wizard opened a Spatial Rift, continuously pulling out various items from it. These items looked bizarre, including screaming crystal skulls, branches burning with black flames, mummies wrapped in bandages, and the claws of unknown shriveled creatures…
All of these items seemed unrelated, but at this moment, they were all brought forth by the Hellfire Grand Wizard.
Muttering incantations, the Hellfire Grand Wizard finally pulled out something that Richard would never have expected—a Curse Worm covered in black patterns!
The Hellfire Grand Wizard was actually a curse Wizard! Morik didn't know what the Hellfire Grand Wizard was doing, but he sensed an extreme danger in the Hellfire Grand Wizard's actions.
He raised his arm and swung his fist, a burst of light shining at the tip of his fist, illuminating the world like a great sun.
The Frost Grand Wizard tried to intervene, but was blocked by Linksa's illusion.
"Wizard, your opponent is me!"
The Frost Grand Wizard coldly replied, "Is that so?"
In the next moment, a Spatial Rift opened beside the Hellfire Grand Wizard, and another Frost Grand Wizard stepped out from the rift, charging toward Morik.
And at that moment, Morik swung his fist again.
Boom…
A thunderous sound erupted in the sky as the Frost Grand Wizard's clone exploded, trying to block Morik's punch.
Yet even so, he still couldn't stop it.
The blazing light pierced through the icy mist, reaching the Hellfire Grand Wizard in an instant.
But the Hellfire Grand Wizard showed no reaction, continuing to recite his ancient incantations.
Suddenly, Morik's expression changed to one of terror as he scanned his surroundings, seemingly searching for something.
The burst of light he had unleashed suddenly dissipated before the Hellfire Grand Wizard.
Amidst the Hellfire Grand Wizard's ancient incantations, a scale-like phantom appeared before the Great Wizard. All the items he had just pulled out were placed on one side of the scale.
And after the burst of light dissipated, a portion of those items had mysteriously vanished.
"Great nameless master, I offer these sacrifices to you, hoping to seal this Fire Lizard."
The Hellfire Grand Wizard made his request to the nameless master, and the phantom of the scale began to sway with his words.
Ultimately, the empty side touched the ground.
His offerings were insufficient.
The Hellfire Grand Wizard furrowed his brow, tearing open space again to pull out more bizarre items, hoping to continue the transaction.
But Morik had no intention of continuing this.
Morik looked at the phantom of the scale in fear; he could sense that a terrifying great existence was casting its gaze upon this place.
His previous attack had been nullified by that great existence.
A single word instantly appeared in Morik's mind.
Flee! As long as the green mountains remain, one need not fear a lack of firewood.
Morik tore open space, and his body, along with Linksa's illusion, immediately vanished from the Crimson Sun World.
The Hellfire Grand Wizard, in a panic, placed those bizarre items onto the scale.
"Great nameless master, I offer these sacrifices to you, hoping you can leave a mark on that Fire Lizard for me to trace."
The scale swayed, and this time, it finally balanced.
In the Astral World, as Morik escaped the Crimson Sun World, he felt a tightening in his body, and behind him, a scale mark gradually emerged.
Meanwhile, in the Crimson Sun World, a similar scale mark appeared on the Hellfire Grand Wizard's arm.
"Fire Lizard, you can't escape!"
The author forgot to set the timer again.
