The man fussed as he climbed the stairs. His grumble continued all the way to the third floor.
"Go and sit with your mother." Olivia warned the kids who held her tightly. When they raised their heads in protest, she glared at them.
"Do you think your aunt is weak? Now leave!" The kids stared at the approaching man and then at their aunt before leaving.
The man stared at Olivia with a gloomy expression. He scoffed when she sent the kids away.
"Withermoon, is your sister still sleeping leisurely?" He looked at the door she was guarding like a knight. One slap from him and she would be on the ground. What gave me the confidence to stand like that?
He scorned harder when her eyes narrowed. Not acting innocent and kind anymore.
"My sister, her grace is sick, my lord. If you are here to see her, you have to wait until she wakes up." The voice had a hint of warning that made the man amused.
