Lucian had a strong feeling Cedric was behind this but there was no evidence. He felt his sister's humiliation and could not believe why Cedric could do such a thing.
"Pray I don't find any evidence tying you to what happened," Lucian said. Cedric was completely unbothered and shrugged, averting his eyes from Lucian.
"If you can excuse me I have something of great importance to handle. Good luck with your investigation. I hope you find what you are searching for." His voice was taunting. No fear or remorse and this triggered Lucian. His hands clenched as he watched Cedric leave.
Cedric was a cocky bastard. Lucian felt a soft hold on his hand, which made him relax as he glanced to his side to see Callista. Her clear blue eyes calm his rage, boiling inside him.
"Being angry won't solve anything, Lucian." Her voice was soothing to the ears. Lucian had not sensed her coming but her mere presence was like a calming pill on her.
