Abrielle felt the pain from his words. She was touched, her heart squeezed as she wrapped her hand around his waist. She laid her head on his chest, her own chest feeling tight.
It felt difficult to breathe; everything felt like a big messed-up plot. She didn't know what to believe anymore. Did he truly love her? Cedric had no reason to lie to her.
"I don't know what to say but I need time. I can't claim I love you as much as you do. I don't even know what I feel for you, but if you are ready to accept this wicked woman, I guess you would never give me the chance to run if I want to.."
Cedric smiled. It wasn't a perfect answer, but he would manage it. "Where else do you want to go besides staying with your husband? If it's time I have all the time in the world to wait for the day your heart beats for me."
