"Mom, why are we packing?!" Talia yelled, watching her mother move like a storm through their apartment.
Nadia didn't stop for a second. "If my son has a girlfriend, that means someone tricked him into a relationship. Do you know how gullible and naïve my son is? Any girl can make her way into his heart—he must not be taken advantage of."
Talia stared in disbelief as her mother finished packing her own bags and moved straight into her room, now stuffing her things into a suitcase.
"Mom, are you serious?" Talia sighed. She loved Chase, sure, but this was ridiculous. He wasn't some helpless child—he was an over-talented brat. He had everything—looks, skills, brains (debatable), and he was like the perfect little brother anyone could ask for. At least, from her perspective.
