"Big brother! Come with us!" Lyra yelled, shaking Chase with all her might.
Chase groaned, rubbing his temple. "Just go with Mom and Lila," he muttered.
Lyra puffed out her cheeks angrily. "If you don't come with us, I'll cry."
Chase eyed her, unconvinced. But before he could call her bluff, Lyra's eyes welled up with tears, and within seconds, she was full-on sobbing. "Big Brother doesn't love me anymore! He only spends time with Aurora! He hates—"
Chase sighed, placing a hand over her mouth before she could make it worse. "Okay, okay, I'll go. But Aurora, you're coming too."
Aurora, still glued to her tablet, continued mashing buttons lazily. "I was already tricked into going," she mumbled.
Chase sighed again. "Alright, let me take a shower, then we can leave."
