The morning after their second night at the Franco household, Chase found himself cooking breakfast, now fully freed from the need to hide his divinity. Mary sat at the table, practically buzzing with excitement as she fired off questions.
"So, Lila, you're really a daughter of Aphrodite? That's so amazing!" Mary gushed.
Alice sighed, resting her cheek against her palm. Her mother wouldn't stop questioning Lila, practically fawning over her. It was starting to feel like Mary loved Lila more than her—and she'd only known her for three days… personally, at least.
Lila blushed slightly. "Well, yes, she really is my mother…"
"Your very infuriating mother," Artemis' voice rang out teasingly.
Lila shot her a glare, but Mary was already turning her attention to Artemis. "Oh right, and you married a son of Aphrodite! I heard all about it—it's so romantic! And I heard you had an identity crisis and everything~"
