Eve tried her best not to cry in front of Prince Stefan. She just let him say what he wanted.
"Eve… I know it's too late for us to receive your forgiveness. But I hope… that someday… we can still be family."
Eve looked up, meeting his gaze. She shook her head and said, "I don't think it will be possible. Your mother and our sisters will never accept me as part of your family. But I'm not closing the door for the possibility of you becoming my friend."
Prince Stefan bobbed his head, understanding their situation. He shouldn't have assumed that things would return to normal after this.
"What are you planning to do with my mother and our sisters?" Prince Stefan asked her expectantly. He was still concerned about their well-being.
