Jeremy realizes that the old man has come here with a purpose.
He replied, "I'm doing fine."
"Good, how confident are you about tomorrow's duel?" Derek asked.
Hearing that, Jeremy wasn't surprised. He obviously felt the seriousness of the duel. He didn't want to lie.
So he said, "It's going to be a tough duel."
Derek was taken aback. He didn't expect him to accept the difficulty of the duel right away.
"Okay, I can help you. I have natural fruits with me. This treasure can help you raise your power by one rank. But I won't be giving it for free," Derek said.
Jeremy's heart raced. This was an unexpected surprise. Why would he want to help me? He is Head of all the first years. Shouldn't he be more neutral?
Since he didn't plan on handing it out for free, he decided to ask about it.
"What do I have to do?" he asked.
A smile appeared on old man Derek's face.
"I have not thought about it yet. But it's going to be a mission," Derek said.
