Third Person's POV
Dark, jagged fissures spread rapidly across the shell as another tremor coursed through it and released a pulse of black energy.
The atmosphere thickened with charged electricity, and small arcs of dark lightning flickered around them.
The fine hairs on the nape of Ethan's neck stood on end as he felt the sheer energy radiating from the unborn creature.
Then, with a final resounding crack, the shell split apart and revealed a small, black-feathered chick nestled inside.
For a moment, all three of them simply stared and were captivated by the sight before them.
The chick's downy feathers shimmered with streaks of dark lightning and shifted like a living shadow.
Its glowing soft hazel eyes with swirling depths locked onto Ethan's crimson ones immediately as if recognizing him in an instant.
A single, soft chirp left its tiny beak and carried with it an eerie resonance that sent a subtle vibration through the air.
