The sun shone brightly in the clear sky.
The Fairy Tail ship rode the waves, heading straight for the Kingdom of Alabasta.
"An Eternal Log Pose? How is that different from the Log Pose I'm holding?" Nami asked curiously.
"The regular Log Pose points to the next island after it records the magnetic field of the current one," Vivi explained. "But an Eternal Pose permanently records the magnetic field of one island and always points to that place."
"Oh, I see. No wonder the Eternal Pose is pointing in a different direction from mine," Nami nodded in understanding.
"So, if we followed the regular Log Pose, where would we end up next?" Erza asked out of curiosity.
"Most likely… the prehistoric island, Little Garden!" Igaram answered solemnly.
"I went there once after joining Baroque Works. It's not a pleasant place," he added grimly.
Erza's interest was piqued. "If you don't mind, I'd love to hear about it."
"Certainly. Little Garden, as the name implies, is a primitive island where the ancient climate is still preserved. Dinosaurs, which are extinct in the outside world, still roam freely there. However…" Igaram's tone suddenly shifted.
"There are creatures even more dangerous than dinosaurs on that island."
"What?! More dangerous than dinosaurs? Real dragons?" Nami exclaimed in shock.
"No—giants. Two giants," Igaram said gravely. "They were once the fearsome captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates, infamous a hundred years ago. Each had a bounty of 100 million Berries!"
Nami and Vivi both gasped simultaneously.
"The giants of this world, huh? I'd love to fight one someday," Erza said, clearly excited.
"There will be chances in the future, but let's skip it for now," Sullivan said calmly.
Erza nodded in agreement.
"Good morning, everyone… Ow, ow ow, my head hurts so much," a hungover Juvia staggered downstairs, rubbing her temples.
The next moment, her eyes locked onto Vivi.
"You… You stole the guild master from me! I challenge you to a duel!" Juvia's eyes turned red with fury.
Thinking of how close Vivi was to Sullivan the previous night made Juvia's possessiveness flare up.She was ready to fight on the spot.
"Juvia, wait! Calm down a little!"
"Princess Vivi is our client right now!"
Erza and Mirajane quickly rushed forward, blocking her from both sides.
Five minutes later, Juvia finally understood the whole situation.
"So all of that happened while I was drunk last night…?" She looked dazed.
A moment later, she pouted and walked up to Vivi.
"Um… Miss Vivi, I'm really sorry. I was out of line earlier!"
"No, no, Miss Juvia, it was my fault too!" Vivi waved her hands awkwardly, embarrassed.
"Miss Vivi, I'll give your request my all!" Juvia said firmly.
"Don't rush to refuse," Sullivan chimed in."Solving your country's crisis will require Juvia's strength."
One week later
The Fairy Tail ship sailed into a calm zone with stable weather and magnetic fields, indicating they were nearing a major island.
Thirty minutes later, a massive island came into view.
They had arrived at the gateway to the Grand Line: Alabasta.
Their plan upon landing had already been discussed over the past week.
Right now, Vivi still didn't know the true identity of the person behind Baroque Works.
The only lead was the organization's second-in-command: Miss All Sunday.
So, with Vivi and Igaram leading the way, the team headed to Baroque Works' secret base in Alabasta.
The plan was simple: lure out Miss All Sunday by offering vital information and capture her to break open the case.
Whether the mission would succeed depended entirely on Miss All Sunday.
Soon, the letter for the meeting was sent.
"Don't worry, Vivi. With the guild master here, whoever shows up won't be able to leave!" Nami said to comfort her, seeing Vivi's anxious expression.
"That's not what I'm worried about, Nami, "Vivi said gravely. "Miss All Sunday is an extremely cautious and intelligent woman. She manages the organization flawlessly. She might see through our plan at a glance!"
"There's no use worrying too much. Let's just wait. If all else fails, we'll rely on the guild master," Erza said reassuringly.
Three days ago, when this plan was first proposed, Erza had noticed Sullivan's subtle reaction. She suspected he knew more than he let on.
And she was right.
Sullivan knew exactly who was behind Baroque Works.
But even so, he still chose to go forward with the plan, because he wanted to meet Miss All Sunday—Nico Robin—personally.
Time ticked by, and night fell the next day.
Just as Vivi was about to give up hope, hurried footsteps echoed outside the secret base.
A giant turtle pulling a luxurious carriage appeared.
"That's Banchi! Miss All Sunday is here!" Vivi's eyes lit up with excitement.
