The lingering gazes of the men were already becoming increasingly burdensome. To make matters worse, she noticed guards coming down the third-floor stairs, looking around as if searching for someone.
If the flies kept swarming, nothing good would come of it. It seemed safer to stay like this, even if it felt a bit awkward.
