"Petal? What's happening here?!" I repeated, as I saw a painting, a painting with a number of red petals flying from a beautiful flower. Nooooo... While I was running, I stopped in my tracks. I stopped to watch what was happening here. Petal was lying, and Gaziel's sword was embedded in his heart... What? ... Petal?!...
"Petal!!" I called out as I watched Petal raise his hand toward me, trying to speak as if he was asking me to take his hand and take him with me.
What the fuck?!
Petal struggled and tried to breathe, but he couldn't. So he dropped his hand and head, staring directly into my eyes. The rain mixed with his blood, and smoothly, the blue-haired figure pulled his sword from Petal's heart, leaving a pale corpse staring at me while drowning in its own blood... What have I done?... What have I done to deserve all this?
"I guess the butler's stabbing in the shoulder and trying to kill him is punishable by death, right?" Gaziel mumbled as he enhanced his sword with blue fire and advanced toward me.
But I didn't care, and all I did was stare into Petal's open eyes, which gazed at me intently. In this moment, I lost the meaning of life. All I wanted was to sleep and never wake up again. I didn't want to feel anything. I just wanted to die. I tried to cut my head off with my sword, but I couldn't. So I would wait until Gaziel killed me.
I turned to see Maris kneeling, tears flowing from her eyes like rain. Then I realized again that the end was drawing near, yes, it was only a few steps away. The blue-haired figure moved closer to me, his golden eyes locked onto mine, sword in hand. Suddenly, he said:
"You bastards, you have a private room and good meals every day, and yet you want to escape?! Ungrateful scum…"
"You've never tasted true suffering, have you?!" Gaziel shouted, and it seemed that killing Petal didn't make him happy, but rather saddened him even more.
"Damn you... It was a beautiful day, why did you ruin it?!!!" he repeated, gripping the hilt of his silver sword tightly... Okay, he's going to kill me now.
"How did you find out about us???" I muttered, feeling my emotions break down little by little, feeling like my heart is going to explode.
"I have a daughter who tells me everything."
What... What the fuck??!! A daughter?!! Camellia? That bitch! She betrayed us... Then I felt my heart disappear. A shock like this... On top of the other consecutive shocks... Yes, this is enough to make me fall to the ground and lose my mind completely. I bet even if I somehow survive this ordeal, I will go crazy... Yes, I'm sure.
"Laos..." Thalesa suddenly whispered.
"I'm late, but I don't want to die here... So you have to use the secret ability," Thalesa added, her voice whispering in my head.
"Secret ability?? What are you talking about? We're going to die now," I mumbled.
"Laos, don't be a fool. We don't have time to talk, just answer me, do you want to use it?" Thalesa repeated as Gaziel got closer, step by step.
"Yes... Yes," I replied.
Suddenly, Astral sword glowed, and a terrifying aura spread throughout my body. Then, Gaziel ran toward me, shocked, as if he had seen something terrifying. He was getting closer, his blade in hand, but as Thalesa said, I didn't want to die here!
"SKY WAVE!!!!!" I screamed after I swung my sword.
Suddenly, a massive wave of water erupted from the sword, as if it were a tsunami. It was powerful and terrifying. Oh my god, what is this?! The wave struck Gaziel, and he couldn't block it. All I could see was the immense amount of water spreading everywhere due to my attack. After the water surged and flooded through the forest, Astral sword disappeared suddenly, and the heavy rain stopped pouring, only lightly drizzling now.
Then, I saw Gaziel standing with his sword planted in the ground, some blood flowing from his mouth. But Petal's body wasn't here, and it seemed that the water had swept it away. Well, even with this terrifying attack, it seems Thalesa's power has run out, and I won't be able to use Astral sword again. And obviously, that bastard can still kill me.
"RUBYIA!" someone shouted from above.
Suddenly, after uttering that word, a red beam shot down on Gaziel like a lightning strike, but he managed to block it with his sword. After that, two girls in black armor appeared with short red hair. They looked identical, almost like one had been cloned, but the only difference was their height. They held their swords—one with a red blade, wait, wasn't that the same blade in Sabrina's room? The shorter one had a black blade, and they stood in front of Gaziel, who was stunned in place.
What is happening here? Did the gods send angels to protect me? Am I not going to die? Suddenly, the shorter one sprinted at Gaziel with terrifying speed and tried to stab him. He blocked her attack but stepped back. After that, a terrifying blue fire flowed from his body, and as usual, he vanished and reappeared behind the shorter girl. But the other girl appeared and protected the shorter one's back—they were sisters, no, twins!
Suddenly, Gaziel was kicked hard in the head by the shorter one. It seemed that my attack had weakened Gaziel so much that I could see blood on parts of his body, but these two girls had defeated him effortlessly! The tall girl then carried Gaziel on her shoulder and they both advanced as if they were heading back to the palace... Suddenly, the shorter one turned and gave me a terrifying glare that made me shiver, then they disappeared into the horizon.
Suddenly, I felt a hand grab mine and pull me forcefully. When I turned, I saw Maris, pulling me as she ran. After that, I realized I had to escape, so I ran with her, holding her cold hand. At this moment, the clouds parted, and the sun shone again, the rain finally stopping, leaving the leaves and trees damp with dew. After that, I felt my eyes closing by themselves, and I felt my strength fading little by little. Am I going to die?
Suddenly, I collapsed to the ground, and the last thing I saw was a breathtaking view—this beautiful forest, with trees soaked in water, leaves dotted with dew, and a green earth filled with fresh grass, rocks scattered here and there. I would never forget the most beautiful thing, the sunrise, its rays making the scene appear in the most stunning way... What a wonderful sight, the first sight I saw after escaping from this palace, a sight that made me feel some happiness amidst all these disasters... Thank you, nature.
"Laos! Laos!!" Maris repeated as she touched my face with her hands, but I kept my eyes closed, not knowing what was happening. I just wanted to go into oblivion and do nothing. But am I going to die now? After that, I closed my eyes, unable to see anything but darkness.
"Laos! Laos!" Maris screamed.
"Don't worry, Maris, I won't die," I replied, feeling a strange sensation, a sensation that robbed me of my ability to stay awake. Wait, do I want to sleep? What the hell is happening? Is this the feeling of death?
"I'm sorry for all of this... It's because of me!" Maris said loudly.
"No... don't blame yourself. This suffering is nothing compared to what I went through in my previous world... and now it seems I won't be able to speak... Maris, ask the gods for this to be just a desire to sleep, then wake up again and not death," I said, feeling Maris' salty tears touching my lips.
But after that, I lost all sense of things and realized that I had reached the bottom of the pit, where everything ends... I hope I won't die.
