After going to the adventurer's guild with Rofland , I realized that there are very few skilled adventurers in this region , or maybe in this country . I guess its the same in every world .There are a lot of people doing the same job , but there are only a few who are really skilled at that. It will be really tough job to find people who can be asset to the territory.
After I returned to the mansion , I wanted to bath and sleep as I was tired as hell listening to those men and then going to the adventurer's guild for finding talented people which was not fruitful. As I was going down the hallway , a maid came up to me .
"Young master , the master and mistress are waiting for you in the main hall . There are guests waiting ."
She bowed while saying this , as a sign of respect of course. This is still a little strange to me as a person who was living in a modern world in my previous life. It will take a little more time to adjust to a noble's way. Anyways, did she say 'guests'?
"Guests? Who are they ?"
"They are also a noble family. Probably Aldehrt family and them have a long history ..a friendly one of course."
"Ok. Thanks for the information and I am coming in few minutes . I need to freshen up . Can't meet my guests like this now , right?"
" As you wish .I will pass the message to the master."
Guests , huh ? Now that I think about it , There is a noble house with almost as same influence as Aldehrt 's. It is the House of Veloras.
They have been mentioned by my parents a lot . My parents told me they also had a kid my age and once I reach five years of age then there would be a formal meet between the two families. Guess its time then. I quickly went to freshen up a bit then straight went towards the main hall as it would be rude to let both the families wait because of me.
When I entered the main hall, around the table sat two men and two women all looking majestic. One couple was of course my parents and the other I assumed to be the Veloras.
" Oh ! Steve , welcome , we have been waiting for you. Come, greet our esteemed guests !"
Dad is a little too excited . Ok let's go then. I went up to the table and bowed a little in a noble etiquette to the guests and introduced myself .
" Well met, my lord. I am Steve Aldehrt . It is my honor to make your acquaintance."
"Ha ha ha , Robert , he really is like his mother , as he got manners "
" Oi !! what do you mean by that , haa ?!!"
" Come on, you two ,at least don't do that childish fight of yours in front of the children!!"
"Yes , at least have some basic decency in front of the kids please."
Well I guess that shows that our families are really close. Wait, did they say 'kids' and 'children'. Oh right they also had a kid --
" Hi Steve !!! Nice to meet you , my name is Lealaine . Will you be my friend ?"
So They had a daughter ...my father never told me that . I looked at my father and he was smiling and his facial expression was screaming ' surprise' to me . Hahh.. My dad...
" Hi Lealaine. Yes I would love to be friends with you ."
" Yes!! Lets be friends from now on ."
The little girl in front of me said this with a pure smile on her face . Well , I guess I should have some friends my age too. Yeah , yeah even though my mental age is more than my physical age.
" Good, Lealaine, now you have a friend ."
" Yes!! Mother."
Hmm..looks like she had trouble making friends. Typical introvert.Not like I can say anything. I am also one .
After that , our families had dinner and we talked about stuff. Lealaine I guess was a little too excited to have a new friend. She never stopped talking. Hmm..so she is not exactly an introvert. An introvert who becomes extrovert once they know the people around them ..ambivert . Well , no worries. Atleast I got a friend, although I don't know how to be friends with a little girl . Let's try my best then ,so that I can be a good friend.
