Chapter 123 - Chapter 124: The Rokushiki and Doflamingo’s Visit

Congratulations to the host for successfully anchoring to the ship. Since no choice was made for a long time, the system has automatically selected a reward.

Congratulations to the host for receiving a rare reward: Advanced Rokushiki.

After such a long silence, Jack had assumed the system wasn't going to acknowledge his unorthodox method of anchoring to the ship. But to his surprise, it had been stewing in the background, only to drop an extraordinary reward.

"Advanced Rokushiki? This is incredible!" Jack exclaimed, his voice tinged with glee.

"Who would've thought Fozu—that osteoporosis-ridden guy—would hand over such an advanced skill?" He smirked. "Guess that's what you get with a philosopher's vibe. Next time, I'm going for opponents who dress flashy!"

Jack scanned the area for Sasaki.

"Hmm, kid's got the tiny officer's cap, a shabby cloak, and that potbelly… definitely potential for philosophy," he mused, grinning. Unfortunately, Sasaki had already left, and Jack was left with a crowd of frenzied pirates chanting his name.

He waved at them dismissively before heading to the rest chamber.

"Next time, Sasaki," he muttered. "What could I use from him anyway? Eh, I'll just beat him up and see. Maybe snag a few attribute points while I'm at it."

Jack closed his eyes and focused inward, assessing his body's condition. The Rokushiki required rigorous training to master, but the system had modified his body accordingly.

Thankfully, the transformation wasn't inhuman. It enhanced his joints, refined the muscle memory of power exertion, and provided techniques for controlling blood flow and utilizing every muscle group efficiently. It was as if his body had undergone years of relentless training overnight.

"Amazing!" Jack grinned, his excitement bubbling over.

The Rokushiki were entirely martial arts-based, and their strength depended on one's physical constitution. Stronger practitioners could even create their own unique moves by combining their innate abilities with the Rokushiki.

Since Jack had acquired the skill from Fozu, he also inherited some of the man's custom techniques. However, they didn't suit Jack's unique strengths, which meant he'd have to develop his own techniques from scratch.

What excited Jack most was a memory tied to mastering the Rokushiki—a technique called Seimei Kikan. This skill allowed a user to consciously control their blood, muscles, and even organs to an incredible degree.

While most martial arts experts could achieve basic control over their bodies, such as digesting food instantly or sweating out toxins, Seimei Kikan refined these techniques to near-perfection. It even enabled manipulation of body parts to unnatural sizes and forms.

"Hmm… Duh, Yamato!" Jack's thoughts spiraled into mischievous territory. "Even if she doesn't grow taller, with my skills, I could… hehehe…"

Not just Yamato. If—

"BWAHAHAHAHAHA!" Jack burst out laughing, wiping the drool from his mouth before standing up, brimming with satisfaction.

The Rokushiki were a meticulously designed and versatile skill set. Even though some techniques could be replicated by other methods, their precision and comprehensiveness were unmatched. It was time to test his new abilities.

The arena had cleared out, leaving Jack to practice in peace. He leapt to the center of the battlefield, beginning his experiments with each of the Rokushiki.

After a while, Jack nodded, satisfied.

"Geppo and Soru really cover for my lack of speed. The other techniques round out my skills nicely. Now I just need to develop my own advanced versions."

The key to enhancing the Rokushiki was to magnify their strengths. It wouldn't be too challenging for Jack, though it would take time and effort.

"Soru!"

Using Soru to zip around, Jack marveled at the technique's effectiveness.

"If Fozu saw this, he'd drop his jaw in disbelief," Jack chuckled.

After a while, his body grew warm from exertion. The movement consumed a lot of stamina, but it was an excellent workout.

"Wait… is that Maria and Yamato?" Jack spotted the group in the distance. Using Soru, he closed the distance in an instant.

Maria was strolling leisurely, trailing behind the wolf-dog. Jack appeared beside her, grinning widely.

"Maria! Check me out! Am I cool or what?"

Maria instinctively glanced downward before quickly averting her eyes.

"Not looking!"

"Huh?" Jack was puzzled for a moment before realizing. "No, no, not that! This!" He pointed to himself, then demonstrated.

"Soru! Geppo!"

"Look! I can fly now! Am I awesome or what?"

Jack's display caught Yamato and Ulti's attention. Their eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Whoa! So cool!" Yamato exclaimed. "Teach me! Teach me!"

"How did you do that?" Ulti chimed in, equally impressed.

Hovering mid-air, Jack looked down at them smugly.

"Bwahaha! Want to learn, do you?" he said, his tone dripping with arrogance.

"I'll teach you, but—"

"Oi! Jack!" Page One called out, cupping his hands around his mouth to shout.

"Before you start teaching, you might want to… I dunno, fix your clothes? They got torn up during the fight. From here, I can see your…"

"WHAT?!"

Bam! Jack crashed to the ground, hastily pulling up his pants.

Nearby pirates, noticing the commotion, rushed over. One of them stepped forward, bowing slightly before speaking.

"Jack-sama! Kaido-sama has requested your presence at the port this evening. The Donquixote Family's Doflamingo will be arriving. You're to welcome him."

Jack scratched his head, recalling last year's fiasco with the Op-Op Fruit.

"Didn't Kaido nearly kill him over that?" Jack muttered. "Guess he's making amends this year with gifts. Oh! Right, I asked him to bring something custom-made for me…"

His thoughts trailed off as he stood up and bolted toward the port, his pale buttocks flashing in the sunlight. The stunned pirates were left speechless.
