"I'm really sorry about that," Damien apologized to Lane as soon as his sisters were gone. "I should have defended you, but I didn't want it to turn to an argument… We're in the field hospital, after all, so we shouldn't be too loud."
"Hmm." Lane tilted his head, staring at Damien, his eyes narrowed. Although he wasn't bothered by it in the slightest… Shouldn't he take advantage of the situation? "Yeah, you should have," he therefore nodded his head solemnly, "Since you didn't, how are you going to make it up to me?"
"This…" Damien gulped, glancing at Lane, who had already managed to move back to the edge of the bed again. "Uh, well… How about… What you did to me before…"
"Hmm? What is it?" Lane shifted closer, a playful smile tugging on the corners of his lips, lifting them up, despite his efforts to maintain a straight face. Damien lowering his eyes bashfully, his whole face all flushed, was kind of adorable, so he couldn't help himself. "What did I do to you before?"
